Podders are Gonna Pod

There’s a Liam Spratt in every county.

I find Ken to be total dose. Can’t stand him at all. A full Uncle Tom. Probably one for the unpopular opinions thread.

Ken too archaic for me - Absolutely horrendous accent. Paul Carroll a good commentator

Would nearly rather the Scariff Bay crew in Clare

What’s an uncle Tom in an ex Tipp goalie context?

Indo Pod has overtaken the rest for me (Hurling)

Really enjoy Mullane and Pat Ryan. A lot of pods with the person in-studio and then others on their phone on Zoom are horrible (see GAA Plus thing with Noel Connors and Seamus Hickey for example), but the Indo get it right

Generally I’d have thought I’d have hated all three of Verney/Mullane/Ryan but they just have ‘it’

Bit bored of the OTB Hurling Pod but still take it in weekly

He’s an establishment lackey, like an under 10 go games parent - everyone is great. Offers absolutely no insight. Sits on the fence on every issue. The only time he said anything controversial was about his son and the GK position and that was pure nepotism at play.

They could do with an auld guest or two to freshen it up. Doesn’t have to be every week. But the two lads opinions are well known at this stage.

I’ve actually come around to skehill. He used to annoy me.

Is the indo pod behind a pay wall?

Jesus no. Everything is free there so far. It’s separate from the main Indo sports pod though. It’s in the Indo GAA section.

Mullane just gets it.

Laptops/Passwords/HDMI cables are only a cod and are alienating a massive part of the GAA audience.

Anyone trying to defend it is a fraud.

Why don’t you tell us how you really feel @Fat_Pox

I like Will O’Callaghan he seems like a very nice man. But that show is like watching paint dry. Paul Murphy is the consummate professional nice guy and Skehill the archetypal humourless East-Galway man.

They overdo it length wise too. Often over 90 minutes. An hour is the perfect length for a podcast. Short and sharp. It becomes tedious during the league when they’re spending an age analysing shadow boxing between Cork and Tipp or Kilkenny and Galway.

Most of Paul Murphy’s responses to questions could be cut down by five minutes. He’s a great man to talk at length about the fence while he’s sitting up on it.

He is a cunt. A north Tipp hurling snob who has no time for football. Big lazy fucking guard. In my early days watching Tipp all I can remember of him is letting soft goals in while he was tripping himself up.

Happy with that?

He makes a point then counters himself by playing devils advocate.

He can’t take a position on anything. Wouldn’t last two days on TFK before being laughed off the forum.

Pat Ryan’s memory of very specific moments of older games in crazy, like Jamie Carragher on the Overlap, that’s probably the best of national podcasts at the moment, KCLR’s has improved significantly with Oisin Langan and Michael Walsh coming on board.

:joy::joy::joy: sums him up perfectly. A real company man I’d say.

They said on the podcast it was meant to be Skehill and Taggy Fogarty originally but Taggy couldn’t commit, Off the Ball then robbed Murphy off Wooly.

Worse again. Throw in Andy Comerford if it has to be someone from KK.

That would have brutal alright, bluffing a media career after appearing on Strictly Come Dancing.
