The Snickers vote is astonishingly weak.
Bunch of caramel loving freaks around here. Explains a lot.
The Snickers is worth chancing for any in-play punters. I fancy it to sneak through as a lucky loser. It’ll fancy its chances in the Top 10 when voters consider it’s longevity and basic sustenance qualities. i wouldn’t be surprised to see it in the place money (4 places).
Take it easy.
Incredibly difficult heat
Despite an absence of popular demand, I’m creating the first inaugural TFK Top Chocolate Bar competition to elect our favourite bar. The winning bar will be consumed by me and will become TFK’s official chocolate bar for 12 months or so.
I’ve painstakingly but hurriedly collated a list of 32 chocolate bars which have been grouped into 4 pools. The top two bars in each pool and the top two third placed bars will proceed to the Top Ten round where it will be first past the post voting.
Each member username can vote 3 times in each pool.
Eligibility:
A few criteria for a bar to be eligible in this poll:
[]Only one bar of each sub-brand is allowed. So only one Kit Kat - that includes chunky and sticks. Cadbury will feel particularly hard done by here given their umbrella Dairy Milk brand extends to Golden Crisps etc.
[]Notwithstanding the above I’m allowing the Caramel bar to be included as well as the Dairy Milk. I feel it’s different enough and marketed distinctly enough to merit inclusion.
[]The bar must be chocolate coated - that excludes the Nougat.
[]I have just remembered that the Tracker Bar made my list despite not meeting that criterion. I’m not changing it now so that’s another exception.
[]The bar must be a bar, not a packet of sweets. So no Rolos.
[]The bar must not be at the Chomp price range. The lowest I’ll take in value is the Curly Wurly or the Fudge. They were >10p when I was younger. A 10p bar is a different beast altogether.
[]Similar to the above - the bar must not primarily exist in multipack form. So the Snack is in the competition, but it’s mostly the yellow Snack we’re talking about here.
[]The bar must have been readily and commonly available in Ireland during the 1990s and must be readily and commonly available today.
Pool One:
Caramel
Snickers
Milky Way
Kit Kat
Picnic
Moro
Toffee Crisp
Daim
Will there be a second inaugural TFK Top Chocolate Bar Competition, do you reckon?
The fucking Moro? I always knew there was a bunch of contrary cunts in here but that takes the biscuit (bar)
When this has run its course can we have an ice-pop/ice-cream poll*
- for the summer
I always think of the Moro as a new bar
What year was it introduced - some time in the early 90s?
Fuck all wrong with an occasional Moro.
Picnic, Moro, Daim. Toffee Crisp are shite - what sort of weirdo would choose one of them.
The moro has had the most votes of any bar.
I used to try to eat all the chocolate and caramel first on the Moro before eating the rest. It was quite challenging.
Just under 24 hours to go here and Moro is home and dry. Caramel under a little threat from KitKat and Snickers. Strong performance from John Cadbury in the opening heat.
The Toffee Crisp is fuck all more than a Rice Crispie Bun in the shape of a rectangular cuboid.
Did Toblerone get a run at all?
You have a serious horn for Toblerones. Have you ever sat on one & rotated?

It’s a great bar. I have limited myself to eating them.

The days when you would go for a 22p Wibbly Wobbly Wonder over a 35pm feast so you would have 10p for jellies or crisps
Kids today don’t know they are born
