Portumna v Na Piarsaigh All Ireland semi final thread

we’re back in the game goal.

Of all the men Dowling tried to lay it off to, Breen, jaysus.

Great stuff from McEntee at full back there

UH

1 min is very skimy.

Nap fucked around with possession, missed chances and had the ref to deal. PT were worth their win tho.

Portumna, the one team in Galway Hurling you can count on.

The experience told of Portumna. Fully deserved it, worked the short puckouts well against the strong breeze in the first half. Had the classy players to get the scores when needed. Ollie Canning still has the touches of class. Can’t really see them being beaten on Paddy’s Day.

Hard luck Na Piarsaigh - had a great year and reigning Munster champions. Ronan Lynch looks the part and could be a big player for Limerick hurling for years to come. Could have been a different game if Canning had been sent off but the better team won today.

Yeah there was 3 at least but the cunt didn’t even play out the one minute… Get Nap lads onto the county team next week please.

Useless cunts bottled it again.

What did Canning do to possibly warrant a red card?

Drew across the chest if my one viewing of it was correct.

Incidentally since 2000 only three Munster teams have reached the All-Ireland Club Hurling Final. Newtownshamdrum only Munster club to win it in that period.

Turned and deliberately pulled on the man behind him.

Didn’t think it was that bad, shocking stat.

One of those was De La Salle who got absolutely hosed, the blueshirt cunts.

I was at that final, Damien Hayes roasted them that day.

Portumna’s experience really showed through today, much more composed and well worth the win. They’ll win the final by a cricket score. Limerick will need downes at least to start against cork. I expect ronan lynch to be starting for limerick next year.

Portumna looked sparkier the whole game. Breen looked awkward enough for an IC hurler. I was surprised by naps. I thought they would play a lot better. Think on a dry day they may have done.

Their performance in the first half resembled that of a rabbit caught in headlights. Very little composure & they froze. Some of the ball cleared from defense was disgraceful really, defenders just launching long & high deliveries without ever having an intended destination.
Also, management standing by watching a player of Dowling’s ability taking quick frees to team mates with a gale at his back was shocking. Every free from 70+ yards should have been put straight over the bar and so building a proper lead.
Portumna’s use of the ball in the first half was excellent, there were no hail Mary deliveries into their forwards. The deliveries were low & quick and suited their attackers perfectly.

Real pity for NAP as they were more than good enough had they applied themselves properly.

Agree with all of that. Naps were really disappointing, though I’m delighted for portumna. Winter hurling seems to suit the Galway teams. They played some lovely hurling. Naps were aimless fora lot of the game.
