He wouldn’t be the first lad tried to warm up the old battery in the key fob.
Got stuck in Castlecomer recently with the brothers rental and the AA guy just kept rubbing the key fob and moving it around the steering column, and eventually she started.
A new Peugeot. Like a space ship but no warning that the fob battery was low.

That’s the worst about those electric cars, you can’t turn on the heating when the battery is low.

Happened me with a rental (Renault) last year. Was getting a warning though. I just bought a new CR2032+ battery in Ray Fitz’s shop and replaced it. The fob was in bad condition held together with cellotape.
