Ah Flynn was golden… almost a master piece.
Voted for it? Ye decided it over the course of an evening meeting with a load of bankers and burnt all records of every fucking word that was said. Thankfully Biffo got a game of golf and a few pints out of it, not that he needed them.
Reading back over this thread it is surreal stuff. Did all that really happen?
All that and more, yet you will still have Fianna Fáil voting gombeens like chewy, kid and @TreatyStones longing for the good ol days.
Thank God for Enda though and FG for saving the country.
Thank God for enda kenny. Just when we needed a spineless self serving leader another hereditary one rolled out of the mould that has served us so well. Seriously, a leader with no spine who did as told by the troika up front, and was happy to cut under the table tax deals with the corporations behind their back was the best chance the country had of recovery. Classic gombeen politician behaviour which worked in our favour.
Get with the programme mate, Fine Gael saved this country, in years to come they’ll be building statues to Enda.
Sinn Fein voted to support the banks but did not vote for the legislation after they had time to digest the facts. The vote on Sept 28 was an indication in principle. They voted against the credit institutions bill.
Fine Gael have implemented all the FF policies after they wrecked the country.
Its tiring listening to people say if SF and the lefties were in government we’d be fucked! We were fucked by FF/PD and FF/Greens and FG have showed no courage or alternative by simply implementing all the FF/greens policies after they bankrupt the country.
I think both Gogarty and Dan Boyle released songs.

SF and the lefties would be in power had they been elected. We’ll only know when they get the votes. In the meantime FG have gone about cleaning up the mess left by a Party consistently voted in by the electorate since the foundation of the state. There’s no accounting for peoples stupidities, as witnessed by them starting to garner votes once more.

I’m not fucked pal. Neither is my affluent pal @Bandage.
True. But I want a Sinn Féin led government and I demand to be taxed more. I shouldn’t have to waste my time creating a charity portfolio and picking what projects to support with my vast levels of disposable income. If wealthy people like me paid more tax then we’d have better services and I wouldn’t have to spend my own time trying to assist. Win win.
That interview with Gay Byrne and “P” Flynn is staggering, i just watched it back there again, his oration at the end about the houses, salary and his self proclaimed perfect record as a politician is like something from a comedy sketch. the way he issues idles threats to Byrne as well with “Don’t draw me on that now…” all the time while Byrne respectfully laps it up is disgusting.
That John O" Donoghue speech when he lost his seat and then reminds people that it shouldnt be lost on them to " take a look at this fine sportshall we are in that i helped build" is gold

The Bulls comment about what use is it being that beautiful when you are so ugly inside is a thing of wonderment as well.
Johnny Cash’s expenses claims and the €112,000 golden parachute he took when he had to resign as Ceann Comhairle.
Ivor Callelys expenses claim.
Bertie spending over €250,000 on make up
Offaly man Rody Molloy’s resignation package.
Shur you’d do it yourself. The motto of the Failures.
