Great stuff from Belvo nearly pulling off the shock of the decade. If they had a placekicker in their ranks they would have done.
As usual the Gick disgraced themselves with their graceless antics. Not respecting the kicker, of course and spoiling the traditional half time high jinks involving the Belvo panda and the Belvo cat in the hat with a pitch invasion laced with boorishness.
An Old Clongownian once told me that this is not a new departure for the Gick. Two generations ago when Terenure descended on Clongowes for a rugby or cricket match the boarders would scramble back to their rooms to ensure that their valuable were safely out of the way of thieving Gick hands.
