Premier League 2017/18

I donā€™t get the fuss over Tuchel. He was a failure at his only big job.

They should give the job to Eddy Howe.

You can get Didier Deschamps, who has managed Monaco, at 80//1.

Jardim of Monaco can be got at 25/1.

Agree completely. Neymar will have him sacked after a few months

Neymar is Europeā€™s youngest manager but his first season hasnā€™t been promising.

They fell apart without him against Real. They were very unlucky to be beaten in the first leg and barely raised a gallop in the second without him

And then Neymar will move to Real.

Eddie Howe or Sean Dyche would seem like the best candidates. Plenty of experience of managing in the top flight in England.

The two longest serving managers now.

Arsene Wenger is the longest serving manager in the EPL

The average appointment of an EPL manager lasts 2.8 years ā€¦ When you take Wenger out of the equation that drops to 1.9 years average life span of an EPL manager.

And no experience of winning at the top level.

Not many candidates out there with experience of winning at the top level. I donā€™t see George Graham, Howard Wilkinson, Sir Alex or Kenny Dalglish throwing their names into the hat. Pep is not budging from Manchester City either.

The EPL isnā€™t that hard to win. More Italian managers have won it than British ones. British managers with notable exception of Ferguson are embarrassing at the top level.

They arenā€™t restricted to British managers mate

The big prizes in England are very hard to win if you donā€™t have the backing of the likes of the Russian state or Abu Dhabi. 22 of the last 23 EPL titles have been won by the four richest teams in England, all 4 of whom are in the worldā€™s 8 richest teams. Including 2018 after the final pairing was confirmed over the weekend, 21 of the last 23 FA Cups have been won by the 5 richest teams, with Woolwich, Man U and Chelsea accounting for 20 of the last 26 FA Cups.

For somebody who celebrates the mediocrity of the 5th richest team in Italy, AS Roma not winning any trophies since 2008, thatā€™s a very harsh assessment of Sean Dyche and Eddie Howe. Are you telling us that you expect them to be delivering league titles and FA Cups for Burnley and Bournemouth on a shoestring budget? Sean Dyche and Eddie Howe are first rate managers and Iā€™ve no doubt either would do an excellent job if they succeeded Coach Wenger.

Rainieri won his first ever league title with a relegation battling side.

An incredible achievement for Ranieri and Leicester but very much an outlier now, a once in a generation, possibly once in a lifetime feat. Its the only occasion in the last 23 seasons that one of the four richest clubs didnā€™t win it. If you throw in the entire 26 year lifespan of the EPL, its 24 from 26 for the Richest Four, the other title accounted for by Blackburn in 1994/95 when Blackburn financed by Jack Walker were one of the richest teams in the league.

The days of provincial teams and rank outsiders like Portsmouth, Wolverhampton Wanders, Burnley, Ipswich, Derby County, Nottingham Forest, Aston Villa, Leeds United even Tottenham Hotspur and Everton winning the league which we saw every few years up until the end of the old Football League model in 1991/92 were all but ended by the emergence of the EPL, Murdoch Money, Champions League and super franchises.

Yes and it was a foreign manager who completed the remarkable achievement.
