At a football conference in UL today. After one of the papers, a fella made a remark about being of Turkish descent but German, and saying when his brother opted to play for the German national team that it caused more controversy with the Turks in Germany than back in Germany itself. Same chap sat beside me later and noticed that his surname is Gundogan. Turns out Ikayâs older brother is doing a PhD specialising in Chinese football politics
