Class goal aside, Aguero was poor tonight. Didn’t lead the line at all, lots of heavy touches, some sloppy passes.

Sterling grew into it in the second half and Sane was always a threat. There were one or two times where I thought Sane could have dropped the shoulder and gone himself but he passed instead and the chance was gone. Did it for the goal though, excellent finish.

Liverpool only really got on top for the 10 minutes before they scored and the final 5 or so minutes, struggled in the second half a bit. Still, Salah could have scored and there was a scramble taken off the line.

Fernandinho was surely man of the match though, immense in the middle.

He really fears Liverpool. City looked petrified for the first half hour and for the last 15. Mane should have put that chance away where Liverpool ripped them open. If Liverpool had gone ahead as they should have City probably would have folded. That’s football though.
