Frank Lampard may have got 10 A’s in his GCSE’s but he’s making very little progress with this Chelsea team. Very few excuses after the massive summer recruitment drive. As @Fulvio_From_Aughnacloy noted he is their worst manager since Avram Grant.

Strange comment. Avram Grant took over a Chelsea side that were 11th in the league in September 2007. He guided them to a 2nd place finish that season, losing just 1 of their last 30 league games and they finished just 2 points behind a Man U side, that some of the Man U supporters here claim is the very best in the EPL era.
Grant also masterminded a Chelsea run to a first European Cup final, which ultimately ended in stalemate. Only missed out on bringing the Cup home in the lottery.
After accomplishing all that in just 8 months, he was very harshly sacked.

Well least qualified maybe (based on previous managerial exploits). He’d managed Maccabi Haifa maybe? To be fair Avram Grant had them tipping along very nicely and was unlucky to lose out narrowly to Man Utd in both the Premier League and Champions League.
Grant made a far better attempt at managing Chelsea than Big Phil Scolari (World Cup winner).
I wonder is there a bit of the Suarez getting a pass in Italian about that
