An interesting answer, in entire fairness, from an oblique but coherent angle.
But the reality remains that top flight soccer is a failure of taste. Good fino is a far better drink than Pétrus.
It’s an appreciation for touch games. George O’Callaghan and that. They’re the same lads depending on what they were exposed to.
Ah now… You are sound and a good fella. But…
But: each to their own, in so many senses.
A million but soccer and hurling are very close in terms of what you’d want ideally. If you were carving from stone and you’d the option of a monster like Tony Kelly.
All true… But…
No one more admires base level excellence – and far higher than base level excellence – than I do, Daniel Woodrell to Denis Johnson.
I love Messi – in a sense. I loved van Basten.
But… Seán Finn is way better.
Fact
Saw Finn, Dan, Nash in Munster Final, I shuffle around but I still try and explain but it’s one of the best things I’ve ever see.n. No drink that day. The brinks truck was parked to the door and they pucked the face off the driver and said ‘No’
While I’m at it it, you could never confidently pick anyone against Prime Kyle Hayes.
You can’t listen to Bulmers Loive After Foive on Today FM on a Saturday evening and listen to Robbie from Mullingar talk about “we” (Arsenal) and think that’s a failure of taste.
I had to Netscape what fino is and I see it’s Spanish fortified wine. I find English fortified wine is particularly good while watching Scottish association football. Brings out the recreational sectarianism in a private setting where it’s unthreatening to anybody.
I was listening to Ciaran Murphy on Second Captains talk about being at the French ambassador’s residence for the France v Spain World Cup semi-final and the thing stood out from the segment was him talking about a drink called “Le Lillet” (I’ve subsequently found out it’s called, simply Lillet, without the Le). He described it as “a zesty drink”. He said it was the best alcoholic drink he’d ever had. I’d never heard of this drink but I made a note to get a bottle of it and made a note that O’Brien’s stock it. It costs about 26 quid for a bottle. I still haven’t got one. I love alcohol but I haven’t touched a drop for at least two months.
Finn and Hayes are something else altogether. But I think Finn…
Finn is – would have been – one of tje cool elite for eliminating The Cairo Gang.
The key men for making The Brits take Ireland seriously.
You are at absolutely nothing if you have to google ‘fino’ – or have to pretend to have had to google ‘fino’, which is the true case (note my sober brilliance with intricate verb tenses) – on a question of taste.
Top tier soccer is utterly vulgar – a complete failure of taste.
He can stick pass forty meters with the best of them now as well as the game demands. Limerick full back line in Munster final from terrace this year, wanton disregard for your own body doesn’t even cover it. It was crazy.
Www
Sean Finn being described as better than Messi. I think I’ve heard it all at this stage.
That afternoon he was…to me
Sean Finn is miles better than Messi on every metric.
Finn is probably the best soccer player of all the inter county hurlers.
Messi wouldn’t hurl spuds to ducks.
