Prepare to welcome your new IMF overlords

The system itself would be a good thing, if all countries were equal, but obviously this will not be the case. It will be a Franco/German controlled government where we will only be bit part players.

I see Greece is on the verge of default again this month
Their tax collectors and taxi drivers are on strike over wage cuts and they propose collecting a new property tax via an extra levy on electricity bills because they can’t trust the government tax system to collect the money

They are going to have to kick the Greeks out and bailout the banks.
The sooner the better.

For a country noted for inventing gayness the greeks seem very reluctant to just bend over and take it up the arse like we are doing.
They’ll be gone from the EU by Christmas at the rate they are going now.

Sure why would they?
Did you meet your targets this time? Well not quiet, there was a lot of lads on holidays and that you know yourself. We’ll try harder the next time.
Okay. But we’re serious this time.

Fuck them out

But sure the Greeks need loads of lads on holidays. That’s all that’s keeping the place going

Limerick saves Ireland again

Michael Noonan has battered the EU into submission and they have today confirmed that they will no longer be charging Ireland at an interest rate above what they are borrowing the money at. The cut also applies to retrospectively to money already borrow from the fund. He reckons it will save us about €900m in interest repayments.

What can I fucking do? He’s from Limerick

Surely if da Greeks get trun ourra da Euro that will be the straw that breaks the camel’s back in terms of its total destruction? If one leaves/is kicked out the precedent has been set.

And that doesn’t solve the problem of the money Greece owes, surely it only makes it worse?

Apparently there’s no legal way the Greeks can leave the euro though. Acception of the euro is irrevocable under either Lisbon or one of the other treaties, or so I read earlier this week anyway.

Europe scrambling like crazy to avoid a default. SocGen and CA downgraded today. Anothe black September on the cards. This could the one to top them all.
Theres no legal way to kick them out. If they wanted to go and everyone was happy for them to go you could pass another law. If they don’t way to go you can’t kick them out legally.

there is no legal way to bail out a eurozone member either, but it happened.
even the german constitutional court turned a blind eye to it.

they’re making it up as they go along, even though it’s as plain as the nose on sarkozy’s face that the only way to avoid a greek default is to shovel billions at them for years to come.
even at that, there’s no sign that the fcukers have any notion of collecting the taxes that supposedly were already implemented.

makes our timid surrender last year all the more galling. the greeks give europe the two fingers every 3 months, we grabbed our ankles and tried not to moan too loudly.

The German EU Commissioner thinks the flags of Ireland, Greece and Portugal should be flown at half mast in Brussells to punish our fiscal mismanagement.
Someone should remind these cunts of the forbearance the civilized world showed them after WW2

Mention the Nazis at every oppurtunity and the Krauts would soon shut up out of embarrassment.

Very true. They would owe the Greeks a lot in war reparations for example. And everyone else of course.

may I politely suggest to the good commissioner that the profligate people of ireland, greece and portugal could also be made to wear some sort of symbol when out in public, perhaps a badge sewn on to the lapel of an overcoat or on an armband?
sanctimonious prick.

It would be sensational if somebody said that to him in parliment
