- the zenit one was very intense as 4 Russian TV crews and a gambling company meant that everything needed to be translated , the macabi one was banterous as Arvaladze is a nutter and had no clue who Dundalk were, some dope asked him would he get annoyed if the crowd gave him a hard time as he played for Rangers and he responded , “the crowd can make jokes to my ass”

Zenit have beaten Maccabi Tel Aviv 2-0 in the Dundalk group. Two draws would probably see Dundalk through but a win tonight doesn’t necessarily guarantee their progression - the quirks of head to head would come into play if Maccabi beat them in Israel next week.

Really shitty goal to give away - Boyle and in particular Massey should have done better but they should have cleared the box much quicker. I only joined the game after 20 minutes when they were already behind and it seems that AZ have sat off since the goal. Dundalk haven’t really looked like breaking them down despite having plenty of possession.
Horgan has been dreadful.
