Utter robbery. Did you give them the shirt off your back as well?

I paid €4.60 for a pint of larger last weekend
Not a bullet, not an ounce. Hold tough Bandage.
whereabouts if you don’t mind me asking…around south east clare it varies between 3.90 and 4.20 for the lager wile in the city your talking anthing between 4.30 to 4.90…
The West County, I was at a wedding and I can remember ordering a pint, giving over a fiver and getting 2 20c coins back, normally I don’t remember the price of a pint, but I believe teh Diamond in Ennis is 4.20
yerrah thats hotel prices they are normally excessive…
A shithole that’s practically joined onto Connolly Station charging €6.30 for a price of Bulmer’s deserves to be firebombed.
It was a woeful pint, I handed back a few of them over the course of the night cause they were so bad
I’m the worlds worst when it comes to knowing the price of a pint, I do know that you get change out of a tenner for a pint of larger and a pint of cider (draught) in every pub in Ennis
yeah function room pints are pure muck…even the barstaff know this and never argue about it…I would normally drink bottles or would go back up to the main bar fo a pint…depending on what kind of round i was in…
had a few pints in killaloe sunday and a pint of guinness and a pint of heineken worked out a very convenient 8 euro…no shitty change fucking up the pocket
It was in the bar I was drinking
I do know that vodka is very dear, cause if I’m buying a pint of larger and a vodka and white I spend 4 times as much as if I was on my own (appartantly ladies don’t have to buy drink in the company of men), just as well I forget to bring my pass card with me
hotels the cute cunt never have the ig bottles of tk/nash’s white lemonade and a good few don’t stock mixer bottles of it either so you have to pay 2.50+ for a bottle of 7 up…just another way tocatch you…
What’s the status Bandage ?

Haven’t made a follow up move since - it’s a real game of chess. What’s the story with Beggar’s? Would it be a decent place to watch football or is the recommendation based more on the quality of pint and price? If they don’t have Setanta for SPL then it’s no use to me!
That’s the spirit SS**. Bandage has them on the ropes now, it’s a militant attitude that got the bastards negotiating and it’s military action that will ultimately win the war.
Any time I have been in there there has been soccer mathes on the TV, but I cannot remember if any of them were Setanta… it maybe worth your while organising a reconiscence mission.
She gets the dash, and I also try to not have to pay for the dash, grab the bottle when they are getting change or hold it close to ya when getting the drinks
The 51 - Update:
We have remained firm since my last post on this thread and haven’t replied since receiving their letter. A couple of weeks ago one of our number received some text messages from a 51 barman soliciting our return but we didn’t budge. It mentioned the vintners’ price increase a few weeks ago and how all pubs around the area are now above a fiver so we may as well come back to The 51. (As an aside, I can confirm Kehoe’s off Grafton Street raised the price of Heineken to €5.10 from €4.95 a few weeks ago). Then cesc4 and myself met one of the barmen the other day (the bar manager’s son) and he asked us what the story was and if we’d come up to chat to them to see if we could sort something out. We said we would think about it but made no firm promises one way or the other. I said I’d prepare a questionnaire for them to fill in and their responses would likely inform our final decision. The questionnaire thing was a spur of the moment comment and I don’t know what I’m going to ask them yet but I’m committed to preparing one now.
Last night in Dandeloine I was chrged 5.70 for a Guinness. Shocking.
