Question for the techies

Havent been following this thread, but have you spoken to Eir about the FMS solution?

That thought had occurred to me earlier alright.

I’ve never heard of that but I will investigate.

Google ‘speedtest’ see the speed you’re getting from BB. Try the same thing through data on your phone and compare speeds.

Phones max out at 40 mb. Can’t handle more than that.

Last thing @Appendage, check the coverage map here https://www.imagine.ie/lte-wexford/ they’re faster than most rural broadband suppliers and continue to expand coverage. No idea of quality but probably better than what you have.

Told me I’m not covered :disappointed_relieved:

Just did a speed test there. 2.5MB up and 2.5MB down. Peak time. This is a shambles.

Have you tried these lads?

Requested a site survey. Skytel can’t do anything.

Maybe request a survey of site instead

Ooooft.

Ah Ziggy, will you ever win?!

Seems like I can get decent (compared to sat/fixed line) 4G coverage in attic.

I’ve looked at siteviewer - what do the numbers on the map represent? There are numbers and in other instances icons of masts.

What network you on?

Vodafone.

Get a Suresignal box from them. Boosts the 4G coverage/signal in the gaf

You need a DSL broadband connection for that I believe.

Won’t solve your speed issues, but if you stick with the fixed line you can install the below which will boost the phone signal and mobile internet in the house. Might make the mobile internet faster at least
