Let Me In is on there of course in response to Cobainās death.
I think itās an incredible song.

Not a chance I would say unfortunately.
I sense not. They had thirty years of it. Saw them live three times and I really regret not going to see them nearer the end. I think I stopped listening to them around 2003 (I was listening to a lot more alternative and punk stuff then and probably didnāt think they were cool enough anymore sadly ).
Around the Sun from 2004 is an awful album. The only real stinker that they had.
Yeah. I stopped at Reveal. It was too watery and my teenage music tastes had started to diversify.
You are the star tonight
You shine electric out of sight
The night eclipsed the moon tonight
Electrolite
I saw them live twice, 1985 and 1989.
I think thatās a very meh song to be honest.
And itās not a great album imo. A strange mix of some of REMās best songs with some of their worst.
I think itās where I was at the time. New Test Leper hit hard as did most of the album, especially E-bow. I think itās stood the rest of time and has aged remarkably well. I revisit it regularly
My current REM playlist:
Carnival of Sorts (Boxcars)
Shaking Through
Camera
Wendell Gee
The Flowers of Guatemala
I Believe
Hairshirt
The Wrong Child
Me in Honey
Accelerate
Each to their own mate.
Spent many a day there back in the early 80s
Who is the Mike Mills replacement?
Iām gonna say he got there by taking the last train to Clarksville
He has an EP of R.E.M. covers out
