Iāve never listened to a single album of theirs and I doubt I ever will.
Life is funny like that, donāt you think, mate?

Iām the same with the Beatles mate.
You cunt of a manā¦ You know how to cut a fella in two, thatās for sure.
Love king of comedy from monster. Especially the backing vocals from Sally dworsky.
Go on so mateā¦what 1 R.E.M album should I listen to? Iāve a 45 minute window here as sheās browsing around shops and Iām āreadingā.a book.
Lifes Rich Pageant is my favourite probably.
āMurmurā for me. The first and the best
Wasnāt really a fan of theirs beforehand but saw them at Slane '95 and they were fantastic. Despite this I didnāt listen to them any more after that concert than I would have done before it. Funny enough, I just happened to hear this song on the Tom Dunne show one night recently and I think it might well be my favourite song of theirs -
Ignoreland from Automatic For The People
Donāt mind these REM fanboy cunts. There isnāt one album after Automatic (1992) worth listening to all the way through, and after Bill Berry left (New Adventures 1996, his last album) its at best a few goods songs and a load of shite. They were awesome from 1981 - 87, Green and Out of Time mix the great with the awful, and Automatic is a great return to form. Thatās it.
The Beatles had the good sense to quit while they were ahead, Abbey Road is a superb effort for lads who hated the sight of each other.
This is their first single from 1981, they never really got much better than this. If you can get your hands on this vinyl (Eponymous) itās worth tracking down.
Waiting to collect my life partner from her night class and Paul McLoone is blasting out Talk About the Passion
Is there any word out of them at all? Will they reform and tour again do you think?
Not a chance Iād say. Theyāve completely ruled it out in any interview in which they have been asked it, which is all of them.
Balls. Did you ever see them? I never did, theyād be one of the great bands Iād love to see.
