He was odds on to be booked yesterday.
He made some balls of the booking against Ajax. Got intentionally booked to miss the second leg but be back for the quarters but then admitted this on a TV interview and now its looking like he’ll be banned for the first leg of the quarters as well

He made a calculated call as regards clearing his card with bigger games to come. His teammates should easily have been able to see that out. Methinks you’re just trying to score INTERNET points here.

Ajax were the better team in the first leg. As a lad who played in that game it was a ridiculous decision. He must have a short memory of last year when he got suspended against Juventus during an easy win and they nearly threw it away without him in the second leg
