Pre grated cheese, beans, undercooked chips and Denny “sausages”, were you ever thought how to cook?

There’s first year college students that would be ashamed of that.

Half a pig in the slow cooker for the legion of Mayo Roasters parking here before the match. Pulled Pork Baps and Apple Tart and Cream on the menu. It’s a bit of a risk as they can be a bit skittish about sandwiches that don’t involve ham but I’m confident of pulling it off.

What’s the recipe for that? Looks super

It’s a bit of a cheat to be honest. I get the pork in FX Buckleys in clontarf and the nice butcher in there gives me a complimentary tray of their bbq rub. I rub a pile of it on and chop a load of onions and garlic and lump the lot in the slow cooker for 8 hours. Then I mix some Sweet Baby Rays bbq sauce through it before serving

No. The Bbq rub turns into liquid providing lots of liquid in the slow cooker

Next time you’re doing it, add half a bottle of a decent cider to the cooking. You can keep some of the liquid back, mixed with the bbq sauce, for a nice dip.

What’s in there?

Fried off onion garlic and chilli
Cumin, coriander, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper
Tinned tomatoes & kidney bind
Chipotle in abdoe
Then in a dish, two eggs broken on top and set in the oven
Avocado, lime yogurt and fresh coriander as a dressing
