I’m not sure about Souness because I’ve never read about him being involved in anything shady. Allardyce seems clean enough. That Redknapp lad though, I’d love to see him get caught out.
I read at the weekend they were looking into the Boumsong to Newcastle for 8m deal and also the deal where Souness sold David Dunn to Birmingham while at Blackburn.
Allardyce just pisses me off. The fact that he signs so many players from all over the world gives me a little bit of hope that he’ll get tripped up somewhere along the line.

In fairness, whether there was impropriety or not, anyone who pays ?8m for Boumsong deserves punishment. Though one might argue Newcastle have already been punished.
Cracking post from a Liverpool site about the match on Sunday:
haven?t posted for years but I?m sick to death of coming home chokka
from away trips so I?m sounding off on here. To be honest, two months ago I
was buzzing with the prospect of Bellamy & Kuyt and I?d heard Gonzalez was
sht-hot so like everyone else I thought we?d have a decent go at the
title ? though I didn?t expect to win it. But what I did expect was the
challenge to go beyond fukin? October. One b**tard goal (a pen) & one
point from 5 away games?a worse away record than Sheff U & West Ham.
2004-5 our away form was shte. We only won 4 all season. But last year
I thought we?d got it sorted (We won 10). Today was one of the most
gutless performances I?ve ever had the misfortune of witnessing at that cauldron
of fckin? hatred. The First 5 minutes looked alright, but after their
first serious attack we went to bits ? no shape ? no belief.
Tomorrow?s Echo should read: ?Yellow shirts appropriate after sh*thouse
performance?. I?d love Chris Bascombe to get twatted tonight ? pop a few
pills then write the following?
Team ratings
Reina: 4
Ran around flapping like some sort of care-in-the-community c*nt ?
wouldn?t look out of place in a Ronald McDonald costume.
Finnan 3
Slow humpty-backed Houllier has-been who couldn?t jump 2 foot in the air
if he was on a trampoline. Absolutely sh*te this season.
Carragher 4
Back to his ?Sunday? best. Caused the second goal through his natural
yard-dog instinct of hoofing balls aimlessly an uncouthly into the air.
Peaked 2005. Slumping rapidly 2006. Tranmere 2007.
Hyypia 4
Shame that an excellent Liverpool career should be ending on such a sad
note. I heard many shouts today of??Get the big slow c*nt off?.
Sadly?most
of those shouts were coming from Steven Gerrard.
Riise 4
A fat slow bstard. His performances this season are beginning to match
his looks?and that?s seriously fckin? ugly.
Alonso 4
Another who?s form has spiralled alarmingly. Seems to have lost a yard
on
the field and gained a yard on his ar$e. Today he brought a whole new
meaning to the phrase ?Spanish Stroll?.
Sissoko 5
A tough call this one. Looks quality when Gerrard?s alongside him but
frustratingly that?s a rarity these days. Today he started off like
Patrick Vierra??then had a metamorphosis into Titus Bramble.
Gerrard 6
His dejected, painful, gloomy expression this season resembles an
Evertonian on the night Liverpool won in Istanbul. Playing him on the
wing
was the best news that that filthy foul-mouthed pot-marked face yokka
spitting wino could have hoped for. Gerrard?s the best midfielder in the
country ? possibly Europe so why suppress that? It?s like putting a
muzzle
on a Rottweiller. Benitez should fu*king about and take a long hard look
at this year?s FA Cup final again.
Garcia 2
This enigmatic fckin? nuisance is the most infuriating little twat that
I?ve ever set eyes on. As per usual in big profile physical games, he
went
missing and contributed absolutely fck all apart from gifting
possession
to the opposition almost the whole match. Why he wasn?t dragged off is
beyond comprehension. I?ve said it before and I?ll say it again?..the
last
time I saw a little Spanish fuker making as many fck ups I was
watching
Fawlty Towers.
Gonzalez 5
Didn?t know where he was at first but had a spell in the match that
actually caused Ferdinand to let go of his King Eddie cigar for a
moment.
With Bellamy injured (Serious doubts that he really was) Gonzalez was
the
only player with genuine ?Pace?. So what did Benitez do? Subbed him for
a
right-sided player. After that stroke of genius it was King Eddie?s all
round.
Kuyt 4
To be honest I didn?t see the poor fuker until he let off a distress
flare during the second half. Let?s face it??if a kid was abandoned and
left to fend for itself in the same shameful manner as this then someone
would be straight on the fukin? blower to child-line.
Pennant 3
All I can say about this feeble contribution is that he was fu*kin?
nicked
for less.
Crouch 3
Best thing he did was boot their goalie. Feel a bit sorry for the big
goofy pipe cleaner. I?ve been saying the same thing since he came to
Anfield, and that is?that he needs a big fella to play alongside him.
As for Benitez. His reign so far reads like one of those cheap Spanish
package holidays…
Starts off great - party all the time
Begin to get bored - Flamencos start doing your head in
You start going through the motions ? criticising everything
You wanna fu*k off home.
There?s only one cure??..upgrade to a better hotel.
Rafa Benitez has already shown Liverpool fans FIVE star
accommodation?.so
naturally the present drop down in standards is proving difficult to
accept. If the decline continues then who knows??..the paying customers
may turn on the manager.
Chris Bascombe.
What d?yer reckon?think I?d make a sports journalist or what?
Anyway?..been nice popping me head in here again. I needed this post?it
was almost cathartic. Catch yer?s later??and remember who started this
song when yer hear it in the Albert.
Louis Garcia?he?s diarrhoea
He stunk the yard out again today
He?s so frustratin??I fukin? hate him
Oh please please sell the fuker today.
Braces & Boots.
Can I preface this with my view that Liverpool were absolutely disgraceful on Sunday but that guy is an idiot. A typical non informed Liverpool fan. Gerrard is not the saviour of Liverpool. He was atrocious against United (deserved a three if anyone deserved it), but seems to have this untouchable element among Liverpool fans and the British media. I will not forget his carry on before the first possible move to Chelsea. He had signed a contract, urged Owen to sign one and then tried to leave. He then stayed and throughout the following season he kept making threats about leaving if we didnt win this or that. He then tried to leave again.
I dont like the guy but you cannot argue with his goal versus Olympiakos, ressurecting us the Champions League final and scoring those goals (particularly the second one) in the FA Cup final last year. He has done a lot for Liverpool.
However he is a loose canon. Some idiot was on Sky News last night about failing to undertsand why Liverpool don’t play him in the centre. Fucking dope. He is not a midfielder, never has been and never will be. Our run of 10 wins last year without conceding a goal had Gerrard on the right. He is a hinderance in there because he tries to outdo Alonso and is gennerally to indisciplined to stay there.
At least your man shares my hatred for Risse. What an absolute fucking cunt! Completely at fault for Ferdinand’s goal but he will get away it - again.
I think the biggest thing that came out the United game for me was my recognition of my absolute and unprecedented (even in the face of Chelsea) hatred for those fuckers. The scene was set with Bobby Charlton presenting something to that mother of all pricks Scholes, mother of all pricks Scholes scoring and then that imposter Ferdinand running around pretending he is a legend. All that and Ferguson smiling on the bench. How could any self respecting person support them?
All you ever see about Scholes is how underrated he is. Two things on that. How can he be underrated if everyone keeps saying that he is underrated and he is overrated in my opinion anyway
Not quite silence, there were a few despairing cries of “what are you doing?”, “oh for fcuk’s sake” etc down the end of the bar I was at.
Unassuming my arse. He is a dirty little tyke. I remember him scoring a goal with his hand against Poland years ago for England - a blatant cheat- but everyone glossed over it beacuse it was Scholes and he was so unassuming. Get the fuck. All the English and Irish press say that England really miss him eventhough he was a failure for them. He quit international football at the age of 29 because he was so shite and everyone goes on about what a loss he is.
Anyone who defends Ferdinand is a disgrace imo
Ferdinand gets a lot of abuse because he is a dickhead but he’s actually not a bad player.
I don’t particularly like Scholes - never liked United or their players - but he’s a smashing player.
Agreed with rock. Scholes and Solskjaer are the only Utd players I like. Admire Saha too.
Amazing how “I like” and “I don’t particularly like” now appear to mean the same thing.
Oopsy doopsy.
I hate Scholes and I don’t rate him. I do suspect though that somewhere in my subconscious the former could be affecting the latter…
I presume that you are talking about Gerrard’s dive in the friendly before the World Cup? He was ridiculed for that. What really bugs me about Scholes is the fact that he is seen as being quiet and, in your words, unassuming when he clearly is not…
I thought you were defending Ferdinand there but maybe you weren’t. Ferdinand is a disgrace of a human being and United fans should hate him as much as anyone else because of the way he has treated them
A lot of silly posts on this thread now. People saying the opposite to eachother and agreeing and then people attacking people for defending people who weren’t defended.
As I said earlier I dislike Scholes (a bit because they make all these excuses for his tackling all the time and he is never criticised) but I do concede he’s an excellent player. Solskjaer I used to think was ok but I dislike him plenty now. Saha I think is a fool for getting booked in the world cup semi-final. What a stupid, stupid man.
I was reading there that Stefan Postma, the keeper that left Villa in the summer, is in a bit of an embarrassing situation to say the least. ;D :
His ex-bird has posted a video of them on the internet after a rather messy break up. Now this video contained, shall we say, adult content and Postma has been doing everything to prevent it from being widely shown. Initially it was on ebay and he stumped up and bought it! He has also apologised to his parents for the shame he has brought on them.
As for what’s going on in the video, he’s now playing for Den Haag back in Holland I believe and as he was running towards the goal before the start of his last game the opposition supporters were all firing dildos at him. He tipped one of them over the bar but was beaten at his near post with another.
Pardew sacked by West Ham today. He didn’t last long under the new owners did he? Have to feel a bit sorry for him given Ashton’s injury and the Argentinian signings that he had nothing to do with. Curbishley must be in the running?
Thats crazy. He had a great season last year.
But I cant say that I’m sad - I never liked him
I think after they lost the game before the Bolton match he was saying how lucky he was to have so much money to spend in the transfer window - joke is on him
I see Sven is a favourite for the job as well
Bit ridiculous that. Things were all going well till the 2 Argies arrived and as Rock said that had nothin to do with Pardew. Unlike you Farmer I never had a problem with Pardew, quite liked him really, he did a good job in getting them promoted and then keeping them up on limited resources. Damn nearly won the cup in May as well.
All’s not well with West Ham, that’s for sure.
I am not doubting last season at all. I thought he had a smashing season. As you rightly pointed out Jack he was within a few seconds of winning the cup - I think that they finished around 6th which is a great achievement.
They have been terrible this season though. I don’t buy the fact that the two Argies are at fault. He is the manager and the book stops with him.
I always found him too mouthy for his own good. But that’s my opinion. I was on his side in the whole Wenger incident
