Agree with all that Raven but Im not sure Fawlty Towers is all that xenophobic. Manuel is more intelligent than Basil, in fact most of the characters come across as being more intelligent than he is. He obviously has a Little Englander attitude but theyre mocking him for it.

Ok there are varying opinions on South Park/Family Guy/The Simpsons. Good point by Rock that The Simpsons was genre defining but I do not think that South Park or Family Guy have improved on it. What South Park in particular has done is taken risque topics and say stuff that they are not supposed to say. That is the entire basis of their comedy. Whether or not they are actually taking the piss out of homophobes or not is beside the point for me - their comedy is lazy and obvious

I will completely accept that The Simpsons has taken a nose dive in the past few years, (now 18 years on the go and they have a film coming up) but it was so far ahead of anything for years that it deserves its place at the very top of the comedy tree.

Its funny how Raven commends South Park for being anti racist and criticises Fawlty Towers for doing exactly the same thing. All throughout those episodes its Basil that looks like the fool. And I take Flano’s point - who cares? Its funny. Its even more amusing that he goes off on a moral anti racism highground when he has a hatred for everything British

Its a fire extinguisher, absolutely no idea who the bird is, a friend of a friend of a friend i think. To make matters worse he then proceeded to go next door where a wedding was on and managed to get his big head in quite a lot of Bride/Groom photos before being escorted out by the bouncers who were in histerics. Dont think hes welcome at that hotel anymore.
