Re: Green Party Fury at RT Bias

Yeah I was going to go further above but decided not to because I knew that she visit from time to time.
Is my school mate a member actually?

Mrs Rock has certainly read this thread so Iā€™d keep your profanities to yourself.

And no your school mate isnā€™t a member. And donā€™t mention it to her - I have a job to justify.

Iā€™d just like to clarify that in principle Iā€™m against the death penalty but my opinions wavers when confronted by that Tubridy chap on the TV or the radio.

Thanks for clarifying Bandage - fully justified.

Trouble has just arrived on the forum.

Evening lads, Mr Rock or whatever his name is has been on at me to sign up for ages now, so here I am. Thanks to farmerinthecity for the kind wordsā€¦much appreciated.

Bandage, you are indeed correct that the GPā€™s core vote historically comes from 20-35 year old females and youā€™d be amazed at how many young ladies are partial to a bit of Pat of a Friday evening! Whether Green voters would watch the Late Late or Tubridy is somewhat irrelevant though. The point is that RTE as a national public service broadcaster is failing to deliver on its mandate:
ā€œRT, as the national public service broadcasting service, is dedicated to putting the audience first. It will continue to provide radio and television programmes, in Irish and English, which are of the highest quality, universally available, and which are independent and impartial in accordance with constitutional and statutory obligations.ā€

But itā€™s not just RTE. The print media in Ireland continue to remain pretty much impervious to issues like climate change etc. Take a look at the Guardian or even the Independent any day of the week and youā€™ll more than likely find a front page story on waste reduction, climate change, emissions reduction etc etc. Not in the Irish press though!

Welcome to the forum Mrs Rock

Legging it for the Home and Away express DART now so Iā€™ll reply in greater detail later but I canā€™t say Iā€™m happy with your decision to support Bandage over me.

Profanities?

Iā€™m insulted. I was just going to say that she generally has a lot of interesting things to say. Didnt want her to see that as I know that she is quite a modest person and would not want to see someone praise her in such a way

Apologies Farmer, looking back at it now Iā€™ve no idea how I could have misinterpreted what you were saying.

I have to say I agree with that part anyway. The Guardian has an environment link on the top of its website every day, a supplement once a week and the Independent has at least one top story on climate change every week. That never happens here for some reason.
