2 break points for the set…
2 sets to 1 Murray. Cracking stuff.
3 break points to Murray…first 2 saved…
4 break points saved…back to deuce (or however the fook you spell it)…
5th break point coming up…
One of the greatest rallies you’re likely to ever see…but back to duece…crowd giving standing ovations after every single point…class…
2 games all. How Nadal held there I don’t know but it could be pivotal or will it? Murray just romped through his next service game. 3-2 Murray.
Nadal breaks 4-3. Balls. BBC are giving it up already…‘even if Andy does lose this it’s still been his greatest ever performance’…don’t rule him out yet though…
2 sets all. It’s 1.10am over there and nobody’s leaving.
1st game final set…break point Murray…saved…2nd break point for Murray…saved…Nadal holds…Fook
Nadal breaks and in fairness to Murray he’s not bottling it but the other fook is playing incredibly.
3-0 Nadal…3 break points saved…Fook me…
6-1 Nadal in the final set. 4 hours of quality tennis. Very soon we’ll be talking about the rivalry between Federer, Nadal and Murray.
Thank Christ for that. Excellent updating Bandage.
That bet’s looking good for you now. The guy Nadal is incredible. The majority of those break points he saved were actual saves by him, excellent winners, rather than Murray hitting the net or whatever. It’s some trait to have where the bigger the point and the greater the pressure the better he plays. It may seems like Murray tailed off but he didn’t. In the final set in practically every game there were break points and epic rallies. No way is this kid a Henman he definitely has guts. Again the BBC had to keep apologising throughout the game with Murray just screaming expletives all through the game. He’s not a middle England toff, he’s a tough fook from Scotland.
Gonzalez just beat Nadal there. Wonder if the Murray game took it out of him.
I imagine it did as Gonzalez breezed past him didn’t he?
Federer just destroyed Roddick; 6-4, 6-0, 6-2. I think this guy is more dominant in tennis than Woods is in golf. Big test will be whether he can beat Nadal on clay at the French Open.
If he can win the French Open then he’ll be some all-time great. Only last year everyone was talking about how Nadal was probably a match for him because he beat him on clay but once it went back to anything else Federer was untouchable.
Up there with Schumacher, Woods and Fowler IMO.
If I was Lippi I’d sign Federer.
