@Joe Player please make this thread a sticky

What are they reclaiming? What do they want?

You should have kept reading after the word “reclaim” mate. They are reclaiming 1916. They want to reclaim it anyway.

They are reclaiming 1916 from Hedduh Humphries and the rest of the blue shirts who consider the Rebellion to be an act of treachery against the King and Redmond and will use the occasion to honour the dead of the British Army.

A noble cause except most of them are aosdana souptakers

Anyone see the promo the government commissioned ?
Not a mention of the rising but Daithi Cameron somehow made an appearance.

Yeah I got that bit, but apart from an anti-gov whine from assorted arty types, what do they want? A commemorative reenactment panto? A giant mural? A minutes silence?

Would I be right in saying that the Labour Party are the only party with a claim on 1916 with Sinn Fein getting involved after and the others spinning out of SF?

Not going to stop the Shinners trying to claim it all for themselves though, shameless cunts that they are.
