Regrets

+1

I drank heavily enough from 18 - 25 when I should have been at my fittest.

Sure it was great crack but I’d do it differently if given the chance again.

Smoking so much weed (but I fucking loved it).

I kinda forget the other things…

I regret not taking the offer of a contract with Real Madrid as I was going out with a porn star at the time.
I also regret wasting so many afternoons banging the arse off her while off my head on high quality cocaine.
Ah well you live and learn.

I’d say at least 75% of the lads who stay playing GAA seriously into their 30’s would say the same, i.e. if only I’d taken it this seriously back then.

Regret not making more of my time in Dublin, but enjoyed it at the same time.
Regret not doing a bit more travelling when younger but not that bothered.

Gutsy question. You’re a shark. Sharks are winners, and they don’t look back because they have no necks. Necks are for sheep.

Minor regret but wasting last year or two of GAA career as a sub. it’s all about being on the team, the panel are just there to make up the numbers in training. Should have packed it in, spent more time doing other things. Time commitment not worth it unless you’re a team member (we even won a senior county final but my u-16 and junior county medals from home still mean more to me)

Can the mods merge this thread with the day after drink thread and let all the miserable fuckers moan to their hearts content.

No regrets at all pal?

I was living with my first girlfriend around the age of 26 and I came in one night after an awful feed of drink and gave her an awful hiding because she had no dinner made for me

It’s not in my make-up, mate. I don’t look back or have regrets.

Jesus …

After hearing that made up story I’m kind of glad you got arse-raped in that other made up story of yours.
Real men don’t beat women.

it takes a real man to admit his mistakes and seek forgiveness and acceptance

Not shorting on AIG during the crisis.

Nutri bullets weren’t out then you cunt.

Do you went to the police and made a full statement of guilt then?
What happen next? Regale us tough guy.

She sounds like a beautiful lady, pal… Where’s she now?

You be fine

Taking drink and drugs up too early and liking them so much. Stopped playing sport too early too. Also, getting too drunk and passing out when I got back to two American ladies’ hotel room in Barcelona about 10 years ago when they had indicated (kind of…I think) that there was a threesome on offer.

Although I don’t really care that much either as I’ve had many, many great times because of the first two regrets. The third one eats away at me everyday though.
