Maguire was a good servant but only an adequate keeper. His short puck outs were poor. and his mistake in 2013 v Cork possibly cost us a place in the All Ireland. He seemed to be getting progressively madder as he got older too. His “tackle” in this years county final was not an isolated incident.
Shane Durkin was a decent, versatile operator. He was at his best from 2013 to 2015 when he (and about 12 others) had a falling out with Ger Cunningham. While he came back last year he never seemed to get back to the pitch of it.
