What did we make of Edouard’s performance ?
a) Still carrying a knock
b) Uninterested
c) Poor tonight…just one of those things
Uninterested.
Mostly c. He isn’t in flying form at all and not fully match fit. He tends to look uninterested when he’s not playing well but it’s just his demeanour anyway.
Poor enough with the ball tonight but I guess one of the objectives was to control the game more than in surprise exits to Cluj, Ferencvaros and Copenhagen. They didn’t have a shot on target and maybe not one off target even. Couple of times we were sloppy when they were breaking and we blocked a couple of shots from edge of the box but we controlled the game really.
Frimpong is a real difference maker and Taylor isnt good enough on the other side. He makes some decent runs off the ball but he’s slow and negative when he has it.
