Road to Superbowl XLV

that didnt go as planned!

I had Arizona as me DST in a fantasy league and have me off to a right good start.

Cowboys were much better than Arizona too.
2 pick 6s. One bomb on ridiculously poor defending and they are 21-3 down.
They owned time of possession.

Arizona D must have had about 30 points.

Sunday night’s Minnesota-Philadelphia contest is postponed until 8 p.m. ET Tuesday because of a blizzard

Jets looking better the past couple of games and while they’re still not at their optimum offensively the defence has recovered from whatever happened against New England that time.

Ah lovely. Best make my plans for Dallas in Feb soon.

Bears have basically scored on every drive since Rocko’s post about the Jets defense tightening up.

27 inches of snow and 50 mph winds in Philadelphia.

I blame Michael Vick.

This is a crazy stat

Cutler first Bears QB with consecutive seasons

Jay Cutler threw for 215 yards and three touchdowns against the Jets, eclipsing 3,000 yards passing to make him the first Bears quarterback ever to reach that mark in back-to-back seasons.
The Chargers are some crowd of bottlers.

Norv out!

Flano, can the Giants still get a wild card spot?

I think they can yeah since they said they were still in with a chance of getting a spot even if they lost. I’ve no idea what heeds to happen for them to get it though

So the Giants squandered a chance to clinch a playoff spot. Now they need help in order to make the postseason.

First, the Giants must find a way to win their 10th game of the season and beat the Redskins on Sunday at Landover.

Then, they can get in if one of these two things happen with a Giants’ victory:

n Green Bay loses to Chicago at Lambeau next week

Or

n New Orleans loses its last two games starting with Monday night’s game against the Falcons followed by next week’s home game against Tampa Bay.

The NFL will release official playoff scenarios later this week but this appears to be their only two ways into the postseason according to ESPN statistics.

I’m surprised that Chicago have kept winning - I thought they’d blow up. I was counting on the Eagles getting that #2 seed spot in the NFC. I don’t know who would get the #2 seed if the Eagles and Bears end up with identical records. But it might not be a disaster if the Bears eliminated the Packers as I’d fancy playing the Giants at home in a wild card game over the Packers any day of the week. New Orleans will destroy the NFC West winners on the other side of the draw.

'Hon the fuckin Saints

Anyone know if the Eagles game is on the box tonight or if it will be an online job?

Fly Eagles. Fly.

It’s advertised as being on ESPN America but sometimes not every NFL game on ESPN America is screened in the UK and Ireland as scheduled because of rights issues with Sky. The tv listings are often the tv listings for central Europe I find.

listings on the sky box here only show live college football on espn america later on, and cant see the eagles game listed on any other channel, so looks like an online job alright

oh, and great win for the saints last night. defences on both sides seriously impressed me. I had thought it would be an all out scoring game, but the blitzing by the Falcons in particular was unreal. And the saints did enough to nullify white and turner

Not the best night for Vick tonight so far, even though the Eagles lead 7-0. He’s had a deep ball intercepted and been off target with a few other throws too; two additional straightforward interception chances were dropped.
