I remember having a sky box it was like a black box with red writing. Maybe it was not a sky one but ntl and you’d channel four on it.
Whatever time anyway Chanel four had the high lights of stone cold Steve Austin defecting to wwe or something like that? Anyway I was only one of my friends with access and had the job of setting our old video recorder to record it.
Anyway I woke up the next morning and it didn’t record. I remember being absolutely gutted.

What year did Mick Foley jump off the top of Hell in a Cell and break the ring beneath him? Or were they 2 different matches?
The first Tables, Ladders and Chairs match - absolutely iconic.
Foleys first Hell in a Cell was the iconic 1998 King of the Ring, where he very nearly died. He fell through the ring at No Way Out 2000, but that was rigged to break. Nothing rigged about the 1998 fall (his tooth ended up in his nose).
TLC matches officially started at SummerSlam 2000 but the same three teams had a very similar style of match at Wrestlemania 2000 4 months previously, except it was called a Triangle Ladder Match

Wrestling was great between about 95-04. It really went off a cliff when they changed it to PG viewing which was around the same time as John Cena reached the pinnacle and stayed there for about 15yrs. They had the below roster around 97-01 going at it hammer and tongs and it was unreal tv:

You think coaching children’s sport is strange but watching men and women in underwear pretending to beat each other up is perfectly normal behaviour for a grown man 
The undertaker killed it. It started going into the ridiculous with that shit and got worse and worse.
Hulk, Andre, ultimate warrior, mr perfect, macho man, jake the snake, axe n smash, Roddy Piper, Rick Rude, Ted Dibiase, the barber beefcake, steamboat, iron sheikh, jim duggan…
That was the peak. It went into serious production mode after that but the characters were too unbelievable. Kane and undertaker kilt it.

I couldn’t care less what people do to find entertainment you’re the one who seems to have a big issue with it, bit hypocritical though a man of 50 who pours all his spare time and interest into fantasy football leagues

I haven’t played a video game since my college days, I’m not a complete weirdo.

Did lads on here play crash bandicoot racing on PlayStation one?
That was some video game.
I remember my cousin arriving with a sort of device which allowed you use four controllers. Jesus we’d some laugh. A tiny screen divided in four racing.
I had a commodore 64 which was all the rage when i was 10 .
You loaded a tape cassette for about two minutes for the game to start and were given the most primitive graphics .
It’s why i preferred fantasy books over gaming…
None of my mates would be into gaming but our younger brothers were all of age when the playstations kicked off and they all still game now in their 30s/40s
I played Mario kart a few times and that was good craic in fairness.
