From TPWW

As noted earlier, the rating is in for last night’s WWE RAW and it appears Donald Trump’s one and only show as the owner of Raw was a blockbuster success.

As we posted earlier, the June 22nd edition of WWE Raw drew a 4.5 cable rating, way up from last week’s “Three-For-All” show, which did a 3.7 (and a 3.9 for the final 2 hours).

For last nights show, the first hour did 4.2 rating with 6.3 million viewers, while the second hour shot up to a 4.8 rating with 7.3 million viewers.

While last night’s show was a special event in that it was the first ever commercial-free Raw, the last time RAW did a 4.5 rating for a 2-hour show was back in January 2006.

As we reported earlier, WWE issued a press release this afternoon stating that while Trump is no longer the owner of Raw, his feud with Vince McMahon is probably not over. With a rating like this, you can understand why.

ECW on now, still no sign of Sheamus O’Shaunessy yet tonight though…

Ireland prays for a Finlay vs Sheamus main event for Mania 26.

Finlay / Sheamus tag team. Now that would be class. What age is this Sheamus lad anyway? He’s not going to get an appearance at all tonight, i hope we haven’t seen the end of him…

Just read an interesting article about Scott Steiner. He’s quite the controversial chap so he is. My favourite parts are in bold below:

Steiner’s weight gain in the late 1990s led to accusations of anabolic steroid abuse, which he denied. Steiner claims that, upon returning to World Wrestling Entertainment in late 2002 he was asked to undergo a steroid test. According to Steiner, the request was dropped after Steiner insisted that the muscular Triple H, then the World Heavyweight Champion, also undergo a test.

On April 21, 1998 in Cherokee County, Georgia, Steiner threatened Georgia Department of Transportation employee Paul Kaspereen after Kaspereen informed him that an exit ramp leading off Interstate 575 was closed. He then twice hit Kaspereen with his Ford F-250 pickup truck (Kaspereen was not badly hurt). Steiner was subsequently arrested, and on March 17, 1999 he pled guilty to aggravated assault and making “terroristic threats” (felonies carrying a maximum sentence of 30 years imprisonment. Under Georgian first-offender rules, which stipulates that a first-time offender will be found not guilty if they do not violate the terms of their probation, Judge C. Michael Roach sentenced Steiner to 10 days in the Cherokee County jail. He also placed Steiner on a seven year probation order, ordered him to pay $25,000 USD in fines, restitution and legal fees and ordered him to perform 200 hours of community service.

Towards the end of his tenure in World Championship Wrestling, Steiner embarked upon a legitimate rivalry with wrestler Diamond Dallas Page after insulting Page’s wife Kimberly during an interview. Kimberly Page had fallen afoul of Steiner after claiming that drug paraphernalia found backstage belonged to Tammy Lynn Sytch, an accusation that, despite Sytch’s vehement denial, led to her being released from the promotion soon after. The acrimony between Steiner and Page eventually descended into violence, with the two men engaging in a locker room fight before being separated by other wrestlers. The incident was adapted into an on-screen feud between the two in which Page would repeatedly harass Steiner with the phrase “I’m still standing!”, a reference to Steiner repeatedly boasting about having “ended the careers” of Goldberg, Sid Vicious, Sting, and Booker T.

In January 2001, Steiner was arrested after inadvertently assaulting Randall Mankins, an emergency medical technician employed by the Kernersville, North Carolina fire department. As part of an angle on an episode of WCW Monday Nitro, an EMT was sent to the ring to tend to Michael Modest and Christopher Daniels, who were selling leg injuries ostensibly inflicted by Steiner. As the EMT entered the ring, Steiner struck him twice, believing him to be a plant rather than a legitimate EMT. Steiner was arrested for assault the following morning as he tried to board a plane.

In December 2005, Steiner, along with Lex Luger and Buff Bagwell, was removed from a flight from Minneapolis, Minnesota to a destination in Canada following a disturbance onboard the plane. The three men were detained for several hours before Steiner and Bagwell were released and permitted to continue on their journey (Luger, however, was held without bail and later charged and jailed). Steiner would later invoke the incident in his in-ring interviews, describing himself as a violent criminal with little regard for the forces of law and order.

Hunter on steroids? How dare he assume that.

In a monumental, unprecedented announcement, Seth Green, comedic star of both film and television, will appear as the Special Guest Host this Monday night on Raw.

Tfk exclusive. I was asked to be guest host next week but had to turn down as I will be at the Rovers real match.

I was just watching the Bluray version of Wrestlemania. Superb quality. Bandage and Flano has to be a must buy if not for a momento of the weekend.:thumbsup:

I was on the Wwe website and I noticed they have changed the Pay Per Name of Unforgiven to " Wwe Breaking Point" which apparently will be an all submission only match stipulations.

Also they changed No Mercy to “Hell in a Cell” Thats obvious enough but is it going to be like Tna and their Lockdown event with every match in the cell. A gimmick match pay per view isnt a good sign. They just about got away with the 2 elimination chamber matches at No Way out but I cant see an all Hell in a Cell event being brilliant. Someone would have to mimic Foley or something to stand out.

What’s the next PPV called and when’s it on? They’re changing alot of the names lately to make them more “family friendly”.

I agree that these all same type matches at a PPV event are not a good idea. I heard about this “Breaking Point” PPV a few weeks ago. I’m not impressed.

Started off with the name change of Ecw One Night Stand to Extreme Rules.

Night of the Champions is the next event in a couple of weeks. With so many titles anyway Im sure 80 percent of matches on ppv anyway are for one so I dont see how this event is that special.

Reading that they are going to change Cyber Sunday to Bragging Rights. I wonder will they keep the fans voting for matches, stipulations etc. It was good when the votes were free and everyone could vote. I think you could only vote if you were living in the Usa which kind of goes against the name of the company if its meant to be World Wrestling Entertainment.

Here at 1am before Raw the Wwe Vintage collection features a great Bret Hart vs the 123 Kid world title match from Raw back in 1994. Its a must see. Its the last match on the show. I had watched it previously on the Raw 15th aniversary dvd. You couldnt beat watching Mania at 12pm and Superstars at 6pm on a Saturday on Sky One. Great fooking days.

It’s the last match on the show, so it should be on about 1.30am or so? I’ll check it out. The 1-2-3 Kid was great to watch at times…

It should be on around then. Owen Hart and Jim Neidhart get involved before the match even begins.

Yeah the 123 Kid was great back then. Had so much talent and had great matches with Razor Ramon. His injuries didnt help and his lifestyle probbably meant he didnt achieve what he should have. And then getting involved with Chyna. Final nail in the coffin.

Great contest, just watching it now. Bret Hart was some wrestler in fairness, technically superb. I never knew the macho man Randy Savage was a commentator at one point.

Cracking match, just cracking.

RAW about to start now after the break…

Seth Green is a midget. Sad pluging of his show.

Seth Green to pin Randy Orton.

Six Diva Swimsuit Tag Match now…
