Road to Wrestlemania XXVI

Not a lot of viable champions. Morrison as you said or maybe Finlay.

With Hardy gone and Rey gone for 30 days its a good thing the Undertaker is back as Smackdown would be totally fooked otherwise.

Aye that’s true i’m looking forward to seeing the dead man back on Smackdown. So let’s do a Smackdown roll-call of significant fella’s they have currently:

Taker
Jericho?
Punk
Morrison
Kane
Ziggler
Finlay
Cryme Thyme
The Hart Dynasty
Khali?

Fairly shite…

Ah that’s quality right there.

I particularly like the Kane and Khali slow waltz…

Compare it to RAW. Smackdown is vastly superior.

No signing in tonight. Too late a finish and too early a start.

The Price is wrong, bitch…

Was just doing some youtube hopping there and came across this absolute beauty of a promo by Foley back in the day.

Hey Vince, I heard you are wondering why you can’t create stars any more? why don’t you do extended promos like this any more. If they did something like this with Dolph Ziegler or John Morrison you could elevate them no end but they won’t because they are just too plain lazy.

Astonishing promo…

I loved this promo so much. The bit where he talks about dude love is just amazing. Their use of home movies and photographs is incredibly powerful.

Lads may come on here and say “Oh, wrestling is a pile of bollox”. Watch this. It was this stuff as a teenager that you watch it and you go wow, that was fucking cool. The 5 years from 1996-2001 was really something else.
The analogy of a male soap opera is really accurate. But it’s not in a sappy way, it’s with dark and edgy stuff like this. They really hit some huge peaks in this era. Peaks they will never hit again.

Mankind attacking Jr at the end is brilliant. Them Promos turned Mankind into a face.

No sign of Dunph either tonight, very strange indeed.

Must have lost heart when I said I wasnt going to be here. By posting so early shows I was telling the truth about why I wasnt signing in.

I’ll take a few thoughts on last nights RAW please…

Is ballooba the only person who signed in last night?

I watched it this morning. Nice little twist in the Main Event.

Yeah i watched it earlier this evening myself, it’s the first episode in weeks i didn’t stay up for…

I saw the twist coming, lame enough really. What happened afterwards right before they cut off was interesting though… Where Orton RKO’d Dusty Rhodes. This could be the beginning of the end for Legacy.

It will be tough to get back in to it till around the Royal Rumble. I got the 100 greatest moments of Smackdown Dvd today. Some good stuff from the earlier years on it with the Rock, Mick Foley, Austin, Hunter and Kurt Angle.

Nigel McGuinness has agreed in principle to a contract with WWE.

Wwe seem to be signing up some top class talent for the future recently. The lightbulb went off in their heads that they will be fucked in 5 years if there are no main eventers. The thing with McGuinness is that his style is so punishing that he will have to modify it a lot to work the Wwe schedule of 4 nights a week.

I noticed Bandage has adopted a Stone Cold saying in his signature. Suprised he remembers who Stone Cold is.

Anyone signing in?
