In light of Chris Kanyonâs passing over the weekend, itâs interesting to note that a total of twenty-two talents who performed for World Championship Wrestling in 1998 have since passed away - nearly equal to a 25-man MLB roster. Likewise, a total of six wrestlers who performed for the World Wrestling Federation the very same year have since passed on (Big Boss Man, âDr. Deathâ Steve Williams, Golga, Owen Hart, Road Warrior Hawk and Test). However, only two WWF performer deaths have been attributed to drug use while the WCW list is significantly greater.
In its entirety, here is the list of deceased talents who performed for WCW in 1998. With the exception of one performer, all deaths listed occurred before the age of 50.

On a final note, Kanyonâs passing marks the fifteenth consecutive year in which at least one talent who performed for WCW between 1991 and 2001 has died.

On another note, i was surprised to see that Christopher Daniels has been released by TNA. Iâm not sure about the way they are going tbh. I must say i now agree with Flanoâs thoughts on the subject. Theyâre going down the same route as WCW did. TNA arguably had a better product this time last yearâŠ

Read that Sheamus got some crowd response at the 02 dublin show on Saturday against Cena. Cena gave him the belt after he beat him and let Sheamus have the ring to himself. I believe Bret Hart was meant to have put Sheamus in the sharpshooter as he was the guest enforcer but this was changed on the fly.
Nice little tag match there on Vintage. Bret/Bulldog vs Owen/Neidhart.
No logic the Hoff making matches for Smackdowns champion Jack Swagger.
It seems that the flight ban has left the Raw crew stranded over in England and they will be unable to make tomorrows live Raw. The Smackdown crew have got back to the Us so it is looking like they will be taking over Raw tomorrow night.
