Roger wins the tie-break to take the 4th set

super game this. break point for murray

and he gets it. wild swipe from federer

How did it finish up lads? :pint:

game, set and match

Pity to see the great man on the way down. :frowning:

Federer tired badly in the end and even worse for him he will have that bulldog of a wife to deal with when he gets home.

The wily Jim Courier commented that Murray and Djokovic are pulling away on the hard courts from the former big 2. Courier and Leyton Hewitt are excellent co-commentators. Better than that wanker Pat Cash by a long way.

It is easy to see the gap that Djokovic and Murray are opening on the hard courts. They are fitter, faster and stronger especially that freak Djokovic than anyone else on the tour.

I don’t think we will see Nadal playing on hard courts anymore. If Nadal is fit he will win the french playing on that muck, I reckon the french and Wimbledon are the only slams that Nadal will play this year and maybe into the future. Wimbledon and the US open I think will be between Murray and Djokovic.

That dirty mong will be taught a lesson by Fed in the future.

Hala Federer.

Roger beats Richard Gasquet 6-4 6-2 6-2 to clinch Switzerland’s first ever Davis Cup victory.

The crowning glory of the greatest of tennis careers.

1,000th ATP career win for the great man today as he beat Milos Raonic in the final of the Brisbane International Championship. Jimmy Connors and Ivan Lendl the only other two men in the 1,000 club.

Incredible that’s he playing at such a level just a few weeks shy of turning 34 and is in a record 10th championship final.

His longevity settles any argument as to who’s the Greatest. When you go through other dominant players of the modern era - Borg, McEnroe, Becker, Edberg, Lendl, Sampras & Nadal - they were all more or less washed up and finished as a serious force well before turning 30.
