Great him winning his 5th Wimbledon in a row and all but I want to talk about his missus here.
I turned over when the hurling was finished to watch the 5th set yesterday and I was shocked to see the state of his bird.
She was the standard I’d have expected from a reserve member of the Irish Davis Cup squad rather than a multiple Grand Slam winner.
Worse was when they showed a slo-mo replay of her reaction to the championship winning point. She leapt up and all you could see was a huge big Ned Kelly hanging out over her jeans.
Now I’m sure she’s a very jovial girl with an extremely bubbly personality but having seen panel members from inter-county GAA squads undertake huge upgrades after a tiny bit of success then surely Roger should be going for a trade in very soon.
All he need do is look at the arm candy an ugly chap like Lleyton Hewitt has on the back of a far less successful tennis career. Until he rectifies this then unfortunately Federer can never truly be classed as one of the game’s greats.
