Ros-scum-mon vs Leitrim - Sunday 3.30 - Shyte Park

Dublin vs Meath, Kerry vs Cork, Derry vs Tyrone, Mayo vs Galway - don’t make me laugh.

The mother of all GAA derbies takes place on Sunday when Des Dolan’s men WILL put a massive dent in the Rossies play-off hopes.

With a bit of luck Lovely Leitrim might even sneak above them in the table come the league’s end but hand on heart, I would take defeats in their final 2 games against London and Monaghan if it meant putting one over on them shower of cnuts !!

Liatroim Abu !!!

Will you be making the trip down Baby? Can’t see you lasting the journey with a few cans inside you to be honest.

a mates 30th on saturday is making things difficult rock. the oul lad and uncle will represent the clan and whilst they wont be as vociferous and vulgar in their hatred for the other shower as i would, im sure i can rely on them to make the presence felt.

I think it was widely accepted a year or two ago that Leitrim had the best full back line in Ireland. Just checked there and they’ve only conceded 3 goals in their 6 league games so far - evidence, if any was needed, that this remains the case.

Miles ahead of all other full back lines. It was just a pity they were such a sieve when it came to the Tommy Murphy final.

I don’t think they’re a hard ground team.

Yeah the conditions didn’t suit them at all. I was moved by the passion shown by the supporters though. I remember at the end of the game looking down at the ground and there was a little puddle. I thought Farmer had soiled himself but they were just tears. Poor lad had cried his heart out to see the dream die.

One of their midfielders looked very dangerous all through that day.

Big ginger fellah, awful dangerous looking alright.

I think Leitrim will be too strong on Sunday.

Did a few other checks there and I think the Tommy Murphy Cup Final was an aberation. It was the first time most of their team were ever in Dublin too so it’d be foolish to use that game as a form guide. They were all probably in awe of the traffic lights on the North Circular Road so how could they have been expected to play good football?

Mattie Forde must suffer from the same lights Bandage. After all he couldnt see that Offaly lad lying prostate in front of him !!!

;D ;D ;D ;D

That Offaly result was part of our learning curve and literally a mere stepping stone for Wexford football.

Shame we don’t have Des Dolan Senior’s tactical nous on the sideline though.

Off work due to sickness so decided to log on and see what is going on

  1. Good to see a fellow Leitrim presence on the forum - whether real or not real
  2. Good to see the same hatred for all things Roscommon
  3. Raven’s ‘Bogtrim’. Brilliant - how long did it take for you to come up with that? Ditto Bandage’s comments on the traffic lights
  4. Bandage’s belittleness of Leitrim - I remember you once saying that you wished Wexford didn’t win the Tommy Murphy Cup the year they were it because they didnt belong in it. Oh so how many Leinster titles have you won in the past 20 years? How many times have you got to the final, hell even semi-final? Leitrim would beat Wexford if we played you now so fuck off with yourself

Through stormy weather and bottles of wine remember…

Its funny I was walking up Jones Road on Saturday to the match and someone stopped me with free Eircom League fixtures. Normally I wouldn’t bother with that but I thought ‘here I am going to an Irish game and I am refusing to acknowledge the grassroots from where all these players should technically come from’. So I took one

I can’t tell you where it is now but you are beginning to convert me. One step at a tme…

Not going tonight due to sickness

Think you are looking to make me run before I can walk…
