When they showed Man U v Lille ahead of Milan v Celtic when the United game was dead and buried I lost all respect for Alkin.
Do tv companies not have any say in the draw at the quarter final stage? Obviously the groups are manipulated to split teams from the same country across both stages of the draw for an even split for tv. The 1-3 balance in English teams for Tuesday/Wednesday is very odd. And there’s no same city teams left that could have forced them to do it that way.

Eh yes they do. Look at top rated footballl club mathces over last few years and Celtic and Manchester United are always way ahead of any other clubs.

Manu are top rated side accoring to Steven Alkin (head of Rte Sport). Also they were promoting their investment in epl. Don’ want to promote Celtic as Setanta show their matches. There was posts about this at the time commenting on what a silly decision it was. If your trying to suggest Celtic and Liverpool get comparable ratings then your wrong.
