Rugby World Cup 2019 - Ireland shit the pot all over again

some turnaround from this

Another example of the sheer lack of humility in the Irish Camp.

Dissapointing as the Irish guys grew playing knock out rugby, as was mentioned plenty in run up to quarter final.

Good to see him get a send off in his home ground.

Player loyalty is what is killing ireland . Having cunts serving 12 years on an international team and not getting dropped when they have a stinker . All this brotherhood shit along the way too .

Ewan is lapping this is up a little too much now at this stage.

I’m almost pro rubby now because of him.

He’s telling like it is though. That can annoy some people.

Ewan should be just enjoying the rest of the tournament and not stressing so much over Ireland.

it’s nearly two weeks later tho Cicero. He needs to just move on.

I’d feel very strongly Schmidt has pointed Ireland in the right direction and definitely left the job in a better place than he inherited despite at the time many feeling Ireland were fucked when he was taking over. He handled the passing on of POC and BOD really well which is something I thought would finish Ireland for a long time. It’s easy to accept defeat when you are second best but Christ that 2011 result versus wales is the real sickener for Irish rugby. You’d Healy, best, o Connell, ferris, o brien, heaslip, Murray?, bowe, Sexton, Kearney, o Driscoll and earls somewhere close to their peaks. You can’t really compare that team to the current one. That looking back was probably our chance to make a World Cup final. I do believe going forward Ireland are in huge trouble. Maybe I’m miles off but I don’t see us competing with wales, France and England over the next few seasons as this team falls apart.

What do you call 15 burly men huddled round the telly watching the Rugby World Cup Final?

the Irish national team!

Schmidt over achieved with a moderate group of players. It’s an awful pity he wasn’t at the helm when the Golden Generation were there.

There was a Golden Generation?

very true. I think o Driscoll as fairly critical of kidney post 09 and said they’d literally no plan in attack whatsoever. Ireland might never have a back row as good as Ferris, o brien and heaslip again. Wallace got injured pre tournament too. It was criminal rog was ahead of Sexton.

I think that 08-12 period was when Irish rugby was at its best. Leinster were the best team in Europe, Munster and ulster were decent. You’d a lot of fellas getting picked on lions and the main players were all around their peak. You’d also France waiting In a semi final. I think that was the real missed chance for Ireland.

There was.
