South Africa are an awesome team. It’s highly amusing that the likes of @glasagusban, @anon61878697 and the soccer once every four year crew were saying that this South Africa team would have represented a much softer quarter final for Ireland than New Zealand.

Would they have beaten NZ in the final is the hanging question. In their opening game they were immense against NZ for the first 20 minutes but were outclassed for the remainder.
The Ireland side of the draw has provided a sequence of no-shows. Ireland, NZ and now in England in the final.
My Welsh buddy watching it beside me here is asking the question would Wales have won the final today. He’s just answered his own question in the affirmative.
