Rugby World Cup 2023/ Crochet & Knitting chit chat

Biggar was a fantastic bit of stuff.

The Welsh were polar opposites to Ireland.

A lot of them had outstanding international careers but didn’t achieve as much in club rugby.

They don’t have the same cushioned criticism either, as you’d see here. I think they may have gotten a bit over-excited after the pool this year because they knew it could have been the last sting before the ultimate collapse of rugby union over there. I can only really think of Stephen Jones as the prominent Welsh rugby journo who was a glorified troll in comparison to crybabies like Thornley, Kinsella & O’Connor.

Welsh international rugby from 2004-2019 massively overachieved in a way we can only dream of over here.

Always has the Celtic fans rocking !! Song can only be associated with rangers. They died in 2012.

Wtf :joy:

Dupont the sole representative from the NH.

Still haven’t the guts to explain what you’re ranting about I see.

you cant figure it out mate?

are all the awkward squad dunces?

Since 2004 Wales have won 6 6 nations titles, Ireland have won 5 while in club rugby Welsh clubd have won 0 European cups and Irish teams have won 6 so not sure if that statement really stacks up.

It’s a nice narrative on here really.

Wales had outstanding teams who individually had disappointing club careers.

It’s almost as if Wales at international level were well coached @myboyblue

Doubt you could say any better coached than Ireland.

Their clubs were a mess tbf.

Try talking English.

Most people pay zero mind to the provinces. World Cup semis are more impressive than Leinster beating Leicester Tigers types in finals.

Wales reached 2 World Cup semi finals in the timeframe mentioned, so I think you can say they were better coached.

Gats turned watery cunts into Grand Slam behemoths

Welsh club rubby has been dead for nearly 10 years, maybe longer and they still got to a world cup semi final in 2019. You have to give them serious credit there.

It was all down to Gats, a blind man could see that. He’s as genuine and decent a man as you could encounter and those Welsh boys played out their skins for him.

You can see how much Galwegians RFC meant to Gats too. Still remembered fondly.
