France are the best team in the world, South Africa the second best. Doesn’t mean anything in terms of winning the World Cup. New Zealand were a far better team than South Africa in 1995.

After all the talk by Stephen Ferris about South Africa having the best bench in world rugby they end up in a scenario where they have a veteran hooker coming on who hasn’t played there regularly since 2014. Although I suppose it was worth that risk to get Pollard back in.
