Lancaster likes this look of some journeyman scrumhalf playing D2 rugby to replace Murphy who goes down to ye unless IRFU block it. So next year we might only have Blade, some kiwi jobber, Lindner (who is German so NIQ) and then potentially Tommy Farthing.
What do they have against devine surely needed to make some effort to keep him sweet as Murphy was always likely to move on somewhere

I think Humphries expected Murphy to go back to Leinster when JGP fell out of favour at Test level in a couple of years but his agents have turned his head. Not sure what Humphries can do to block a lad from leaving this summer when his contract expires. I donāt blame either lad for backing themselves (or Lancaster) but timing is horrific and Iād point the finger of blame at Willie Ruane. They shouldāve let Devine leave last year when he requested it if they werenāt going to take gametime off Blade this season.

Some rumours doing the rounds this morning that Fua Leiofi Bundellu is off to Newcastle for big money. I could still see him sticking around on a non-central deal with Connacht though.

I think Connacht pay fuckall for him as heās on a CC but if he got a provincial deal itād take up a decent wedge of the IRFU allotment. His legs are gone after being unstoppable in 2023 so I think itād be best for all parties if he moved on. He phoned it in a lot for Connacht since covid though and Forde has been the better 12 for about 2 years.
