Ukraine is a democracy fighting for its freedom against a genocidal fascist regime led an evil maniac threatening nuclear obliteration against them and the west. The west, led by the US, is helping Ukraine.
Therefore Ukraine and the west are very much the good guys.
Sometimes the decision as to who to support in a war is that simple. World War II was simple in that the Allies were the good guys and the Nazis the very, very bad guys.
This war is even more simple in the fact that the Allies this time don’t have Stalin, who was an evil monster, prominent in their ranks.
You, like all lifestyle contrarians, see things that are nuanced through black and white, while you attempt to cloud things that are very much black and white with false, fake, lying, mendacious, shameless, intelligence insulting fog.

Total military defeat for Russia. Putin and the rest of his regime either tried in the Hague or summarily executed, I don’t really care which. Russia is demilitarised. A western client regime in Russia that operates Russia for the benefit of the west with a view to possibly bringing them into the fold in future decades. That’s what happened in West Germany from 1945 on.

The Russians could prevent this tomorrow by coming to their senses and leaving all of Ukraine but they show no sign of it.

Ukraine was as bent as an S hook on the eve of war. It was highly corrupt and Zelensky was facing trouble from ratings and the IMF because of the level of corruptness. So go easy on the democracy drum.
There’s no one here supporting Putin or Russia but there’s a little clan of you who just cant decipher that fact. Discussing the wider causes of conflict in the area or the corrupt nature of the west doesn’t correlate to supporting Russia…
