Russia Vs Ukraine (Part 1)

It was taken out Friday allegedly

Zelensky needs to be very careful here. Russia took out the Chechen leader Dzhokhar Dudayev in 1996 after they pinpointed where he was while he was talking to a Russian MP on a satellite phone.

Will Zelensky go to the talks or send a delegation? Archduke Ferdinand territory here, what would the response be if the Russians took out the Ukrainian at the peace talks?

I’d consult with the Starks before attending.

Sending the foreign minister

Delegation.

Nothing can be ruled out here. Lukashenko is scum and this is now a dirty, dirty war.

Brave men. Surely not even Putin would pull a fast one here…

Wouldn’t put it past him or his puppet in Belarus to try pull something here.

currently being witnessed. I increasingly find this theory hard to credit. First it doesn’t address the atrocious Russian logistics chain, a problem that seems to have presented itself prior to any launch of hostilities and has reached critical levels a few dozen 2/

kilometers from Russian borders. Second, it doesn’t explain the total failure of the Russian Air Force to destroy their Ukrainian counterparts and suppress Ukrainian Air Defenses. Third it doesn’t explain the continued wasting of VDV units in piecemeal deployments 3/

with high casualties. Finally, and perhaps most importantly, it fails to explain the level of force being wasted in the effort to supposedly identify, recon, and drain the Ukrainian army of resources. The Ukrainians are now beginning to be resupplied in earnest both from 4/

the rest of the world and by virtue of what appear to be significant stocks of captured Russian equipment from routed and destroyed assault units. The longer this conflict continues the better Ukraine will be positioned to defend itself. Moreover, if Ukrainian estimates of 5/

Russian casualty figures are remotely accurate the Russians are losing men and war material at an unsustainable rate. Ukraine estimates 5300+ Russian KIAs and just over 1000 tanks and armored vehicles destroyed. If we assumed anywhere from 1-3 times as many wounded & missing 6/

as killed in action, this puts total Russian casualties in the 10-20+k range. Russia deployed between 110-130 Battalion Tactical Groups for this assault. Ukraine estimates around 60+ have entered their territory. Each BTG is a combined arms unit comprised of 700-1000 men 7/

& built around an armored or mounted infantry unit core. This means the Russians have sustained casualties sufficient to take 10-30 BTGs off the board as combat effective formations. If we accept all these various estimates as a starting point, the Russians have lost between 8/

10-25% (approx) of their pre-invasion combat formations in a matter of 4 days without capturing a single major city or achieving a strategically decisive breakthrough of Ukrainian lines. This is not a sustainable rate of loss. 9/9

But Zelensky is not going himself, I think?

Not good

No.

I think it’s time he took allied advice & gets out.
If Russian forces get him then it’s a major victory for the cunts.

His press briefings online have been a huge morale boost to forces and have generally forced the Wests hand in supporting the fight with supplies of weapons as opposed to useless talk.

It’s imperative the Russians don’t get him

Putin may get the gaddafi treatment

Any talk of Protests in Russia today?

No. But you expect he will be in contact with his delegation. And given what the Russians did to Dudayev, you cannot trust that the Russians will not use the meeting as a way to pinpoint exactly where Zelensky is and attempt to strike him.

It seems to me that Kharkiv has been the focus of the worst of Russian bombardment since the start of the war. Makes sense given its the closest major population centre to the Russian border.

Ukraine is a big country. Over eight times the size of Ireland. That’s a big country. Four million people in Kyiv alone. That’s a lot of people. And they were ready which any FCA guy will tell you, gives you a three to one advantage.

Unfortunately if the Russians get camped in and get their supply lines open, they’ll be hard to get rid of.

They still haven’t taking the city either. My biggest fear is they realise they won’t win and flatten everything
