Thank you for your human interest and kind words.
Do not worry, it’s not a critical mistake. I have no objections to the Russian language, the only objection is the horrible war and invasion of Russian murders.
Unfortunately, I can’t join your program, as all my time and efforts are dedicated to protecting my people and my family. For example, a few days ago Russian officers killed my younger brother (a civilian, he just crossed the street to buy food).
My friends, 2 young girls were captured, tortured, raped, and killed. One of them was a brilliant doctor, another one was a scientist and had a Ph.D.
14 days as my morning starts not from coffee and Shakespeare poetry, not from amazing The Beatles but from dead bodies of our children around the streets.
Yes, but even with the nuclear threat, you have to draw a line somewhere. I think it should have been drawn at Ukraine, others think the EU, others again NATO, and some at their front door. It’s just a matter of where one draws the line.
There’s apparently an old KGB saying, “push your bayonet in, if you meet mush, keep pushing, if you meet steel, withdraw.”
The government and judiciary are absolutely riddled with corruption, it has conflict internally and with its neighbours, its military has significant issues with neo-nazi elements etc.
Well you seem content with the current slaughter. You’re rationale is that it could be worse. Have you a figure in your head as to when it is no longer acceptable.
The line has always been a direct attack on NATO or a direct attack on Soviet Union/Warsaw Pact/Russia. That’s why it’s never been crossed and we’ve had proxy wars.
The West is doing everything it can now for Ukraine short of direct military engagement with Russia which they won’t do because of the risk of escalation to nuclear war. NATO warned Russia today not to attack arms deliveries from NATO countries.
We chose a certain path in WW2. We wouldn’t join NATO then because UK was in it and held 6 counties.
In recent decades we’ve assumed our special relationship with US would see us treated differently.
If we shared a land border with Russia I’d imagine we’d have US bases here.
Anybody arguing Ireland should be in NATO before this would have not got far. I expect that will change now.
What’s happening in Ukraine is awful and beyond imagination. People better placed than me to decide have decided that direct engagement risks a world and by definition nuclear war and in that moral dilemna chose the least worst option which is to do everything short of direct military intervention
Ah for gods sake Sid. Of all the nonsense. This is not about whether you or me are right or whether nothing matters or indeed should. You were taking the piss out of the Swedish PM, saying he was completely wrong. He’s got all the facts and is in the EU. In the face of a very volatile situation, he has decided not to sabre rattle about possibly joining NATO. Youd imagine, being in the EU, that they wont be attacked anyway. In that context id say he’s right not to give Russia anything else to scream about. But I’d imagine, there are better ways of opposing them than shouting ‘fuck you, we’re off to NATO’ at them. Id personally like to see Nato enforcing a no fly zone but i wouldn’t for the life of me think i know better than these lads given how informed they are.
Ten fucking posts of Chamberlain bullshit and demanding people answer your questions that dont necessarily have any bearing on today’s problems? Give it a rest.
