Russia Vs Ukraine (Part 1)

Russia’s actual line is that they should be allowed to destroy Ukraine as a country because the US invaded Iraq.

As revealed by Kremlin mouthpiece Dimitriy Suslov.

Not everything is black & white

Jaysus.

Usual suspects circling the wagons.
Always the same lads, just waiting on a few more now that the klaxon has sounded

No. But this very definitely is black and white.

It’s the easiest major world story to understand since the struggle against apartheid.

It’s a basic struggle of good versus evil.

It literally is that simple.

The auld lad had Putin marked down as a ‘thug’ 15 years ago

He was definitely in it for the long game. Heard on a podcast that mother Russia has been preparing for the economic sanctions for years and is quite self-sufficient.

Aren’t there enough other threads where you can allude to just how special and superior you are? Do you ever absolutely sicken yourself with that shit?

Just because I’m not a contrarian cunt doesn’t make me superior,
Go fuck yourself

Would care to expand on that assertion.

Of course America has had its dirty paws in pots they weren’t needed in the same as Russia has had.

But, Ukraine wasn’t being an aggressor here.
It appears a land grab by a greedy dictator who is,

  • willing to spread lies to suit his narrative
  • send his countrymen to certain death
  • close down communication lines to his own population
  • kill innocent Ukrainians
  • pillage Ukraine to fill his & his cronies pockets

Q,
Would you seriously support the idea that Ukraine was a serious threat to Russian security?

By proxy, yes. Ukraine is not an independent country. It is run by a Western puppet administration. Do you honestly think Zelensky is capable of independently running a country?

Do you believe it’s a healthy position of power that Putin has?
He is obviously supported by Military & Mafia organisations.
It would be impossible to rule that country as he does otherwise.
Russia is not a democratic country.

As regards Zelenskyy, you are of the opinion that presidency since 2019 proves he’s incapable?
A man who got 73% of the Vote.

It’s also fair to say no individual ( unless a Dictator ) runs a nation singlehanded. There are unseen advisers in every Country.

Your response seems a bizarre reasoning for a Russian invasion.

A simple yes or no will suffice.

You’re an idiot.

Could you not ask an intelligent question instead? Id really be lowering myself to answer that one. Sure why dont we move forward with the understanding that the invasion, bombings, aggression, targeting civilians, besieging a city, causing a refugee crisis are wrong…and putin is evil, as was hitler etc. We could play the bbc ni game of getting anyone suspected of being a taig to condemn the ira etc.
Once we get beyond that are we allowed to have any sort of discussion? Assuming the mother superior allows it of course- once he calms down

Russians don’t love Putin. They are afraid of him, even in Ireland they look over their shoulder when even mentioning him.

The US had a chance with Russia post the cold war and absolutely fucked it alright

Meh, that was a bit simplistic. A lot of them do though…propagandised or otherwise. Many saw him as a saviour after the chaos of the early 90s, and yhey had a point. The sanctions might change their mind but war time leaders tend to gain popularity
Btw @balbec and i have already established that putin is bad, a dictator etc.
And the US did exactly what they intended to do with russia…impoverish and weaken it while building, strengthening and forming alliances with its neighbours. They were well warned from within that it would lead to what were seeing now…or maybe that was just putin apologism etc

Well that’s that so

That’s propaganda mate.

Most are, at best, wary of him. I’m sure the Russters in the countryside are a different story mind
