Zelensky just signed a nice trade agreement with UAE. It basically means Ukrainian entrepreneurs can buy, invest, export etc there without tax or restrictions. And with complete confidentiality.
He has his escape well planned.

Gas thing is the Ukrainians were told not to make peace in 2022 - by the Americans. Their first mistake was thinking the Americans has any use for them beyond absorbing Russian artillery ordinance.

The Ukrainians arenât one group. Ordinary Ukrainians have no say at all, one way or the other. The âright sectorâ nutters who wanted a war with Russia had little or no popular support, but theyâre the ones they yanks brought to power. Poor auld Zelensky is the face of the disaster, but he came to power on a mandate of making peace. When he told the right sector they would have to leave eastern Ukraine they said they would assassinate him. Which they probably would have if he made peace in '22 as well.
If only they werenât invaded and didnât have to make peace at all.

In reality it turns out he was merely one more standard issue tankie who watched too much George Galloway, who would inevitably side with the far right and imperial invaders against people who just want to be free in the most basic sense of the word free.
