Atletico Barca was one of the best football matches I have ever seen. Godin and Gabi were extraordinary, but David Villa is still some player. Ran himself to a standstill and I couldn’t have seen Costa being able to hold up the ball as well as Villa did.
Agreed with that. Couldn’t believe hoe Villa was still showing at the end. Happy to chase to the corner on the left and coming short to look for it deep too.
Gabi was immense.

Barca should never have sold him.
Agree. Costa wouldn’t lace his boots.
German final scoreless at half time
I just read that Barca sold him for €5m… surely that can’t be right, can it?
Messi was a disgrace again.
Lewandowski header over the line but cleared by Dante. No goal.
Extra time
Really poor game in Berlin.
Robben scores after a poor pass by the keeper.
Scottish Cup Final was definitely the pick of today’s action.
Hat trick for Di Natale tonight.
4 wonderful goals in Empoli earlier as the home side defeated Novara 3-1 to take a step closer to a Serie A return. Superb to see Massimo Maccarone still strutting his stuff.
Hollywood won 2-0. Muller scored the second.

What a guy Di Natale is https://encrypted-tbn2.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcTuALF8KSJFlWiYFPAlpKfy5QzzIaPhRtb52OZtq_xLTcuNLWwx
As a massive Messi fan, this has to be said. He’s been very poor by his standards over the last year. He doesn’t look interested, he looks petulant and he hasn’t produced anything near what is expected of him. At €385,000 a week after tax, if he doesn’t buck up, he’ll make Wayne Rooney’s contract look like a bargain. I fear we’ve seen the best of him.
Partial stadium collapse in Spain during the Osasuna and Betis match. Game suspended.
A great weekend of football continues as Cambridge United get back in to the football league.
The glory days are coming back to the Abbey Stadium.

Romeo Challenger will be pleased as will his son.
