Good win for Scotland - gives them a cracking chance of qualifying. Pretty poor decision for the penalty they conceded but I thought it was a foul on first viewing. When you see the replays there’s no excuse for diving like that and UEFA should (or should be allowed to) use video evidence to suspend yer man for a couple of games. Only way to cut it out. Depending on the referees using yellow cards is pointless because:
yellow card isn’t a big enough punishment (the offence is at least as bad as a professional foul)
if the referee is conned that shouldn’t be the end of it.
Other than that Scotland looked decent for most of the game but lost the initiative a bit before the equaliser. Can’t believe the likes of Teale starts ahead of Maloney and McFadden. Maloney showed in the 10 minutes he played how much a better player he is. Don’t like the guy after what he did but to suggest he’s not good enough to make Scotland’s first XI is a joke.
Agree entirely about Maloney and McFadden. Your man Teale was very poor. What club does the left full play for? Hard to think he is better than Wislon. Also think Harley would have been a far better option than McCullough in midfield. Ferguson and Brown looks like it could be a good combination for the France match. Knowing Big Eck though and he will partner Fletcher with Barry.
Forgot to mention McCullough as well. Neither himself or Teale should be playing. And the left back (McEveley) is useless. He plays for Derby.
Was Wilson unavailable? They actually would have a very decent first eleven if they put their best players out imo (granted Miller and Ferguson were unavailable)
