The author of this very entertaining book didn’t have it easy on that fateful day at Love Street in 1986 even if the team he supported did.

In the very entertaining book “Not Playing For Celtic” by David Bennie which I read in 1997 when my oul’ fella borrowed it from Ballyfermot Library, the writer goes into detail about how he was conceived the night of 1960 European Cup final between Real Madrid and Eintracht Frankfurt at Hampden Park, which his father attended.

This is not as entertaining a vignette as his recall of being doubled up with excruciating diarrhoea in a toilet cubicle at Love Street stadium as Celtic were sticking four goals past St. Mirren in the first half of the final league game of the 1985/86 season, which is very entertaining.
