Seeking members for the Limerick Chippers Social Group

youā€™re a real class act dunph.

SS**, Runt, Rintintin, have a word please.

this ā€œadminā€ is out of control.

Never having been a member of the Limerick Chippers Group maybe I could act as an honest broker here.

Play with fire and you get burnt T_Eā€¦

Would you like to join the group SS**?

I think you could be a real asset to usā€¦

The only Limerick chipper I frequent Dunph is Luigiā€™s on Parnell Street. Iā€™d feel a fraud amongst the real stars of this thread like The Puke etc.

Review of Star Kebebā€™s, Montpelier

Food quality- Got the Quarter pounder meal, was decent enough, good fresh salad on the burger, the chips were frozen which will lose it marks but their curry was decent 3.5

Value for money- 6 for a quarter pounder meal with curry cheese chips was decent valueā€¦4

Staff apprasial- Superb! the foreign lad behind the counter was a natural and he knew how to work the room, gave an exibition in burger and chip making, an absolute pleasure to watch, even put the curry cheese chips under the grill for 1 minute to melt the cheese . 5

Service- Like I said, teh man was a pro, a pleasure to watch, also didnā€™t charge extra for the curry/cheese5

Facilities- Fairly basis, a bit ramshakle for my liking, no reading material and a dog asleep in the middle of the waiting areaā€¦2

Good work Puke.

A couple of observations:

Most of the reviewers have chosen a Quarter Pounder meal. This wouldnā€™t be my usual choice however when frequenting a chipper. Iā€™d be more inclined towards a curry chip and/or battered sausage. How can we compare like with like and ensure a level of consistency here?

You seem to have possibly confused the headings of ā€œstaff appraisalā€ and ā€œserviceā€, Puke. ā€œStaff appraisalā€ should purely concern things like friendliness, attractiveness etc of the servers. ā€œServiceā€ should concern speed and efficency. Even if a serving lady is a gargoyle, this shouldnā€™t take from her scoring maximum points under the ā€œServiceā€ category.

Iā€™m surprised at your mark of 2 for facilities in this case considering a mangy dog was left to die in the middle of the floor coupled with no reading material. But itā€™s your review and we appreciate it.

Fresh/smoked cod and a single of chips, maybe mushy peas, curry sauce on the side should be the only order when undertaking a chipper review imo. The humble fish and chips are usually the two items that most Irish chippers would have started serving in the early days of fast food Ireland.

Agreed

With all due respect but what would a couple of steamers above in Dublin know about proper chippers

I bit into a burger in Limerick once and got a bullet stuck in my teeth.

Ben could be onto something though Puke. I think most of us in the group would eat a fish and chip. In addition, any chipper worthy itā€™s salt would do a good fish and chips. Not all chippers do good burgers. Itā€™s just not the main priority.

Leave the mushy fuckin peas to the brits.

These weirdos will be comparing gravy next. Note to Ben and Sledge, this isnā€™t fcuking Dagenham.

Jesus donā€™t say that to the Corkonians, a fish supper with chips covered in peas and curry is standard fair in that regions chippers:D!

He said maybe, lads.

Maybe.

Maybe not

Not.

The principle of the thing stands though. Fish and chips.

Fook sake - what the hell would Paulio Tullio know about chips? Apparently his real name is Paul Tully and he changed his name a couple of years ago to try and make it as a food critic!

Sure what would a gaybo like Derek Mooney know in the first place to hire Tullio? I am just posting a link for the consumption of the general membership of the board
